RNH isn't McDavid but Hyman and Savoie were good with 97 last season. They'll be a different trio but there is no reason those three can't give the Oilers a solid second line. Also, it gives the head coach real options with Connor and Draisaitl.

Oilers really need Walman to step up in Ekholm's absence. Curious how long a rope Mukhamadullin gets, before they go to Bako for help.

It's funny, the goal I didn't like much on Levi was the Aho goal. Nice move but didn't think he played it well. Shut the door on all similar type looks from that point on. Said it on so many occasions, when a team trusts their goalie, winning 1-0 or 10-9 doesn't matter. #Oilers

For those who forgot what the Oilers powerplay was like with 18 & 93... They make a bigger difference than people realize.

If I were sitting in Babcock's seat, bring out 93-97-18 & 92-29-42 for the third and see if the Oilers can steal a point.

This has been the issue with Darnell for too many years. Doesn't recognize what's going on. Instead of just flattening Slafkovsky when he flipped the puck passed him, Nurse does whatever the hell that was that we just saw.

I'm so glad the Oilers didn't give in to the we need a big goalie mentality & traded for Cossa. Levi was on my wish list for two years & they essentially got him for free. Yeah, it's early but this is exactly who I thought they were getting. And he's only going to get better.

I get Oilers fans are frustrated with Howard but give him credit. The points haven't come but he's doing what this staff wants from him...in a role he isn't built for or familiar with. He's forechecking, been fairly responsible defensively & kept his shifts short. He's adapting.

I can't see how Hellebuyck could be allowed back into the Jets room. Let him do his thing away from team and see if he's interested in a conditioning stint. Outside of that, he collects his pay cheque and waits. He made the ask, so now he gets to eat it.
