Or you aren’t very bright and it’s the total opposite. The spread of quality between the bulk of the teams is narrower than ever. So now there is a group of 12 teams between 4th & 15th all capable of beating each other making the point spread tighter.
Shaping up to be another low quality Premier League season. Arsenal are very complete but City have lost successive games and their wins are pretty much meaningless, that’s another loss for Liverpool, Chelsea are erratic while Bournemouth and Spurs - winless three weeks ago - are now in the top eight. It is not difficult to merely compete.

Relying on defense is exactly why Arteta keeps bottling the league. You cannot keep approaching big games with a mentality of defending first and hoping for the best.
If Arsenal want to win major trophies, Arteta needs to learn from the likes of Hansi Flick, Maresca and Luis Enrique. There is more to football than sitting deep and protecting a lead.
