Santa Teresa neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro is very well known for its bohemian atmosphere with its cobblestone streets & artistic workshops. One of its icons is the bondinho. It is actually the only tram that still runs in the city & passes over the Arcos de Lapa.

We met this man when we were walking near Puno, Peru. We stopped to say hello to him. He was over 100 years old and he was losing his sight. He was slowly walking back to his home. This is what is awesome about taking photos when you travel, you can keep memories alive. #Peru
Lake Titicaca is one of these places that stands out in a map or in a guide book. It is a place we all have eventually heard of so when I got the chance to go I was very excited. We crossed from Puno in Peru to Copacabana in Bolivia by boat. Have you been here?

Have you heard of the Uruguayan #candombe?
It comes from the sad times when #Montevideo was the only port receiving the African slaves for the Virreinato. They brought their music and traditions with them, starting this new rhythm. It is danced and played in the city streets.
The famous Ruta 40 goes all the way from the north to the south of Argentina, from the driest landscapes of the Northwest to the lakes & glaciers in Patagonia. A road trip in the route 40 means adventure.
This portion between Salta & Cachi is one of the most beautiful parts.
Un orgullo que esten en nuestro pais! El MAAM es una visita obligada de Salta capital.

This is the futbol field in Purmamarca. This is it. No grass at all, just dirt and pebbles. Another challenge is that the games are played at 2.300 meters above sea level (7,500 feet). No doubt this is for very tough players only. Would you play here?
I want to honor the hard working women of Ecuador just as an example of all the women in the world who use their hands to produce something they have learned from their parents. Traditions are very important to keep cultures alive and women are key for this purpose.

I have always had Cape Horn (Cabo de Hornos) in my bucket list. Since I was a kid I have had a fascination for the first explorers like Magellan and Fitz Roy. When I imagine them sailing in their little nut shells in these rough seas my admiration for them inevitably builds up.
Today we travel to the magic island of Chiloe, where the time seems to be stopped and you can still feel the rural type of life that Chile used to have many years ago.
Chiloe has all these myths & legends that still many people believe. To learn more go to

Salinas Grandes, in Jujuy, is the second largest salt flat of the world. It is located at 4.000 meters high and it was formed after the water from a volcano evaporated around 5 to 10 million years ago.
You may visit it for the day from Purmamarca or on the way to Chile.

Many people go to Purmamarca just for the day but I strongly recommend staying there a couple of nights. There is so much to do and enjoy, so this is a good opportunity to slow down.
It is worth it to wake up early to get the best shots of the Cerro de los Siete Colores
