From @The_SoniaShaw at CONNECT Singapore:
• Liquid assets like Treasuries and equities are likely to move onchain first
• Secondary markets remain one of the biggest gaps
• For tokenization to work at scale, compliance, issuance and secondary markets have to work together

🎥 INSIGHT: From tokenized real estate to AI-driven investing, where is onchain finance heading?
@OneAsset_io founder and CEO Sonia Shaw (@The_SoniaShaw) joins Cointelegraph at CONNECT Singapore to share her vision.
Before investing in tokenized real estate, understand how you can exit.
Is there an active secondary market? Who provides the bids? Does liquidity depend on the platform buying tokens back?
These are very different arrangements, with different risks for investors. 👇
Everyone talks about RWA liquidity. But who is on the other side of the exit?
A token can change hands in seconds. A sale still needs a cash buyer.
A BIS working paper found that the liquidity advantage in tokenized real estate depended on platform buybacks.
Those buybacks gave sellers an exit, but came with higher insolvency risk for the platform.
Tokenization can make an asset transferable. It can’t manufacture a buyer.

10 a.m. in Singapore is 10 p.m. in New York.
Global businesses and investors operate across time zones.
Their ability to move dollars shouldn’t depend on one market’s clock.
Your life doesn’t run on banking hours, your money shouldn’t either.
Stablecoins already meet that bar – with most volume moving on nights, weekends and holidays.
73% of volume to be exact.
And that’s just one of the findings from our new research with @TheBlockCo ↓

More office attendance doesn’t mean every office building benefits.
For owners of older stock, the decision gets expensive: upgrade, reposition, or compete for a different tenant.
Wall Street’s back office is getting an onchain upgrade.
Now that’s institutional adoption worth watching.

Standard Chartered UAE now lets its professional investor clients buy and sell Bitcoin and Ether inside its banking app. When a global bank brings digital assets to its own wealth clients, adoption looks very different.
Standard Chartered Opens ETH Trading to UAE Wealthy Clients 🇦🇪
Traditional finance continues to move closer to Ethereum.
Standard Chartered has received approval from Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) to offer crypto trading services to professional investors in the UAE.
Eligible affluent clients can now buy and sell $ETH and $BTC directly through their existing bank accounts, without setting up separate wallets or using third-party platforms.
Why does this matter for Ethereum?
• Easier access: Wealthy clients can gain ETH exposure through an established banking relationship.
• Institutional adoption: Regulated banking services help bridge traditional finance and crypto markets.
• Broader distribution: Banks can make ETH more accessible to investors who prefer familiar financial infrastructure.
This is another step toward integrating Ethereum into traditional finance, although the service is currently limited to eligible professional investors.
As regulated access expands, ETH’s role in the financial system could grow beyond its native crypto audience.
