Chuds win again. 26 people have been laid off from the Ghost of Yotei developer, Sucker Punch. Despite all the fake critical acclaim, the game did not produce enough profit to maintain its workforce. The developer specifically said.. "After carefully observing the challenges in the market and reviewing the team needs for our next project, we've decided to make some staffing reductions. Several positions across Sucker Punch will be eliminated as a result." Unit sales lagged behind Ghost of Tsushima, and 5.4 million copies sold in the first year were not enough. Some of the gamers complained that the gameplay felt canned, the protag was ugly, and they didn't like that the voice actress for the protagonist was a ANTIFA activist. Sales matter the most, and when critical reviews are disconnected from what gamers are willing to pay for... why should we even listen to the "mainstream reviewers"?
