Our paper is now out in @ScienceMagazine! We endogenously tagged 1,310 human proteins and systematically measured their localization and interactions. Check out opencell.czbiohub.org to explore our images and interaction networks!

One of the super useful features of the opencell.czbiohub.org website is that you can look up the cellular copy numbers and concentrations of your favorite proteins - check it out!
(even for proteins that aren't among our targets or their interactors)
Our paper is out today in @ScienceMagazine, I’m stoked @OpenCellCZB !

Check our perspective on the @OpenCellCZB
awesome work from @LeonettiManuel
"Modules" help interpret biological systems. However, we see in these new data that connectors far outweigh modules in PPI networks! What does that mean? We discuss it: science.org/doi/10.1126/scie…
All of our data is freely available to explore and download at opencell.czbiohub.org/downlo…. Special thanks to the AWS Open Data program for hosting our collection of 6,000 raw 3D microscopy images: czb-opencell.s3.amazonaws.co…

Published today in Science, a team from CZ Biohub and @MPI_Biochem combined genome engineering, confocal live-cell imaging, mass spectrometry, and data science to systematically map the localization and interactions of human proteins. 🧵 science.org/doi/10.1126/scie…

.#OpenCell from @czbiohub -- results from which are published in @ScienceMagazine today -- is mapping cells one protein at a time, paving a new way to visualize cellular architecture. science.org/doi/full/10.1126…. Video: youtube.com/watch?v=6j4fpV-q…
Excited to see this update! Cytoself enabled us to quantitatively compare our IP/MS interaction data with
our microscopy images (spoiler alert: we showed that if proteins in our library share similar localization patterns, they are more likely than not to directly interact!)
We have an updated preprint of cytoself, our deep-learning method for profiling protein localization with
self-supervised learning!
Fantastic collaboration with @kchev, @LeonettiManuel and @loicaroyer. (1/8)

Cellular life is amazingly complex. To find cures for diseases, we must understand the molecular details of how cells and their proteins operate.
Visit our new OpenCell website and interactively explore the localization and interactions of human proteins:opencell.czbiohub.org
Endogenous tagging + 3D live-cell imaging + mass-spec interactome = opencell.czbiohub.org, an open-source map of the human proteome. So excited for our first release, wonderful collaboration with @labs_mann @loicaroyer & many other colleagues. @OpenCellCZB
Our first release is live! 🚀
A collaborative effort led by @LeonettiManuel with @labs_mann and @loicaroyer and many others at @czbiohub to build an open-source map of the human proteome.
Check it out and let us know what you think!
