Under EmpCo, generic green claims need proof behind them. Some brands remove the claim. Another route: link the claim to its evidence once, so anyone can check it. Proof recorded once, checked many times.

EUDR applies to larger companies from 30 December. Cocoa, coffee, palm oil, soy, rubber, wood and cattle will need proof behind them. Proof that is recorded once can be checked by everyone who asks.

#WorldFoodDay Most shoppers see a label and a claim. The proof behind it stays out of view. A product passport puts that proof one scan away. Linked to evidence, scope and review status.

Two days to go. From Claim to Proof, a closed roundtable with the @Cardano_CF. One question: can proof be validated once and used many times? Thursday, 16:00 CEST, online. Request a seat below.

The EU just turned every green claim on food into something brands have to prove. @OpenFoodChain anchors that proof on Cardano. This Thursday, we’re hosting a closed roundtable on what proof holds up in practice. Request a seat: riverside.com/webinar/regist…
Food brands already collect supply chain compliance data by law. @OpenFoodChain anchors that data on Cardano and puts it behind a QR code, so shoppers can trace a claim like deforestation-free back to the farm. Kraft Heinz and Interfood are on board. cardanofoundation.org/blog/o…

A claim used to point nowhere. Certificate in one drive. Audit report in an inbox. Supplier file somewhere else. Now one passport links each claim to its evidence. Same data, put to work.

A scan takes seconds. What it shows takes longer to build. Origin, evidence, and the journey from farm to shelf, all in one place. That is what a product passport gives a shopper that a certificate in a folder never could. #EmpCo #traceability

8/10 @openfoodchain turns compliance into revenue. It transforms traceability, certificates, and supplier data into scannable product passports, with every claim linked to its evidence and review status, anchored on Cardano's public infrastructure. openfoodchain.com/

Fair questions. Let's address each directly. 1. Why is this different from past Cardano traceability efforts? Most previous efforts followed a "build it and they will come" model. Create a protocol, then seek #enterprise adoption. That's hard: enterprises don't adopt unproven infrastructure. OFC flips this: Kraft Heinz is co-funding this @Catalyst_onX proposal and driving the integration. This isn't hope, it's a Fortune 500 company with budget committed, ready to scale once the pilot delivers boardroom proof. 2. What makes success more likely? - Kraft Heinz is a co-funder, not a prospect. Shared funding model = aligned incentives - Real regulatory driver: tomatoes are on the FDA Food Traceability List (FSMA 204). Compliance deadline 2028 — Kraft Heinz needs traceability that can respond to FDA within 24 hours. - Same approach addresses other regulatory requirements as we scale: EU Digital Product Passport, EUDR for other crops. One integration, multiple compliance needs. 3. On spillover effects — where's the evidence? Honest answer: we can't guarantee spillover. No one can. But the mechanism is clear: enterprise adoption spreads through peer networks. Procurement teams benchmark competitors. Sustainability officers compare approaches. A working Kraft Heinz implementation becomes a reference case in those conversations. We're not promising spillover. The pilot creates the proof that makes spillover possible. Kraft Heinz R&D Director explains the vision directly: xitter.cf/OpenFoodChain/status/2…
Kraft Heinz R&D Director + @MariekeOFC on our @Catalyst_onX #enterprise proposal: This isn't "build it and hope enterprises adopt." @KraftHeinzCo is co-funding and driving. Every $ADA funded = tripled (OFC + Kraft Heinz match). The vision: #Cardano as the unified trust layer for food traceability. Shared standards. Open source APIs. $11 trillion industry. Our proposal is about delivering boardroom proof that the network works for Fortune 500 supply chains. From Field to Fork 🌱🍅🌍 A powerhouse Powered by Cardano conversation with @MariekeOFC of @OpenFoodChain and Mischa Stevens, Innovation Director & R&D at 46B food multinational @KraftHeinzCo. We break down how a giant like Kraft Heinz actually operates—and why that’s 🔥 for Cardano. This @Catalyst_onX proposal starts with tomatoes, where Kraft Heinz controls 11% of the global market 🍅. And that’s just one product. If successful, tomatoes lead the way → other foods follow → doors open for the entire 11T global food industry on @Cardano. 🚀 Even stronger: OpenFoodChain and Kraft Heinz are matching the funding ask themselves. cc @krissbaird @Josi_sndnc @indi_gital @Cardano_CF @Elkconnect_web3 @DenicioBernier @ZengateGlobal 🙏 If you value deep visibility for real Cardano projects, give us a follow.

Replying to @yutazzz
Thanks for the continued engagement in @Catalyst_onX, @yutazzz. This kind of scrutiny is how we can ensure that Catalyst provides real value. Your questions are valid, and they came up in our recent @coc_space session with @KraftHeinzCo too. You're right that enterprises minimize L1 usage, and that raw TX fee ROI isn't the primary measure. Our projected TX volumes: - Year 1 pilot: 400–1,000 tx - Year 2 (if model repeats across Kraft Heinz + other enterprises): 500k–2M+ tx Will that return 750K ADA in fees within 2 years? No. Instead, we are betting on network effects through peer validation. Our value proposition is boardroom proof: demonstrating to Fortune 500 decision-makers that #Cardano works for regulated supply chains. That proof unlocks networks we can't access otherwise. Enterprise adoption spreads through peer networks. Procurement teams talk, sustainability officers benchmark competitors. 👉 Coming Wednesday 21-01, we have a Catalyst townhall breakout session with Kraft Heinz. We would love to have you there and put these questions directly to our enterprise partner. Full breakdown + CoC session: xitter.cf/OpenFoodChain/status/2…

Thanks for the clear value framework, @yutazzz. We discussed expected #cardano transaction volumes in our @coc_space session with Kraft Heinz's Director of Innovation and R&D: xitter.cf/OpenFoodChain/status/2… 2-year TX outlook: • Year 1 (pilot): 400–1k txs • Year 2 (scaling to other Kraft Heinz products + enterprises): 500k–2M+ txs Is that >750K ADA × 10 in fees? No, not within 2 years. Our value proposition focuses on enterprise adoption, not purely TX fee ROI. This is about fortune 500 boardroom proof demonstrating that Cardano works at enterprise scale for regulated supply chains. The proposal funds what unlocks a repeatable model; first across Kraft Heinz's portfolio (57+ varieties, multiple ingredients, other products), then other food corporates.

On #cardano transaction volumes: tomato supply and processing is 24/7, feeding production of millions of bottles daily. We're anchoring tomato batches, not individual items. 2-year outlook: • Pilot: 1 of Heinz's 57 ketchup varieties, 1 ingredient (tomatoes) → 400–1k L1 tx/year • Scale: additional ketchup varieties → 5k–15k/year • Add ingredients, full value chains → 25k–100k/year • Other Kraft Heinz products, then other enterprises → 500k–2m+/year

Mischa Stevens, Kraft Heinz Innovation and R&D director, joined us. He's been trying to get blockchain adopted inside Kraft Heinz for 7 years. His take: "For corporates, this is TRL 7. We need a real test case to prove it works before it goes further." Getting that proof into the boardroom is what this @catalyst_onX proposal funds.
