Always glad to get users review on the tools on OpenFork
Just getting started btw.
Been working on a new feature for OpenFork.
I really think you guys will love this one.
It’s going to make the OpenFork community even stronger and take the ecosystem a step further.
Can’t wait to see what you guys think when it goes live.
The OpenFork Thesis
Software is becoming a monthly bill. Design, video, coding and AI tools are getting expensive, leaving students, creators and small teams struggling to afford what they need.
Free, open-source alternatives exist. The problem? Finding the right tools, knowing which ones work, and getting help using them.
OpenFork brings everything together.
• Discovery: Find free and affordable software alternatives.
• Community: Share tools, recommendations and support.
• Bounties: Request tools or features, reward developers, and let the community decide what gets built.
OpenFork puts software development in the hands of the people who use it. Users shape demand, developers get rewarded, and open-source projects gain a direct funding route.
Students come first. Creators, freelancers, developers and small businesses follow.
$FORK supports the platform’s development, with project fees intended to fund development and continuous token buybacks.
The vision: Software for everyone. Fewer financial barriers. More community-driven development. More freedom to learn, work and create.
We started building OpenFork with one simple idea: make life easier for students, developers, creators, and small businesses by making software more accessible without the crazy subscription fees.
Seeing the support and how many people believe in what we’re building is honestly great to see. ❤️
We’re just getting started. More tools and updates are coming as we keep building. We’re also working towards onboarding more students, developers, creators, and small businesses to help them get the most out of the platform and the tech itself.
Just added some new softwares on OpenFork
All user friendly softwares.
Working hard to make sure users are 100% safe while interacting.
Will be dropping more updates soon.

add it up for a second
photoshop. premiere. office. figma pro. AI subscriptions
a student who just wants to learn design or video is looking at hundreds a month before they even start
meanwhile there are free open source tools that do most of the same job. ppl just don’t know they exist
that’s the gap OpenFork fills

This is a good number for a 3 days old project and we
are just getting started.
I have been working on a feature that I will be shipping soon.
The community will love this one.
A lot of updates soon. Really working hard backend to keep the tech running and safe.
Been working on the backend and just shipped 5 new forked softwares on OpenFork.
Working on a new feature, should be live soon, community would love this.
Appreciate everyone supporting the token.
Every revenue redirected to developing the tech and adding more forked softwares for users and more buybacks also.
Building an ecosystem around OpenFork.
Making sure the Bounty section is active soon so the community can also earn through bounties.
The narrative is already there. We’re just building the tech to back it up.
A place where you can find forked versions of the software you use every day, for free or at a much lower cost.
It’s only a matter of time before more eyes get on OpenFork and people start maxing out these tools.
We’re putting in the work. Just watch.
AI is now being used to recreate Adobe’s software, a developer has released seven free, open-source apps as clean-room alternatives to Adobe’s main tools:
- PhotoCraft → Photoshop
- VectorCraft → Illustrator
- FilmCraft → Premiere Pro
- LightCraft → Lightroom
- EffectCraft → After Effects
- DesignCraft → InDesign
- PrintCraft → Acrobat Pro
Built in Rust with help from Claude Opus 5.5, they run on Windows, Linux, and macOS under MIT/Apache licenses without using Adobe’s source code.
Good amount of Visits so far. Open Fork is 100% safe for users and you can easily access every forked software.
Working to make sure users have the best experience while using open fork.
Why pay $30 a month for a premium software when you could get a free or cheaper version with the same features?
That’s one of the things we’re trying to change with OpenFork.
You get access to software without having to spend so much on subscriptions or even spend at all. And it goes beyond that. You can connect with other developers, share ideas, and even post a bounty for a fork of a software you want to see built.
We’ll keep putting in the work to make this tech better, so people can access the tools they need for free or at a price that makes sense.
Remember, Everything can be forked.
Working on the community section to make sure users can communicate via Open Fork.
We can have an Open Fork ecosystem where users and developers can communicate properly.
