I wouldn't go so far as to say I simp for him. If anything, I became a Vox and Radiostatic fan. I still dislike most of the things I used to dislike about Alastor as a character, and how he is written. Simply put—

—I like writing about how bittersweet and complex Radiostatic is, and sometimes I like calling Alastor pretty. It's my way of coping with a REALLY HARD summer. Posting about Radiostatic helped me smile more when I felt horrible about myself.
One of my favorite things about BPD!Vox is how Alastor is so clearly That Special Person™ for him. The person whose acceptance you require to function, and whose presence can soothe you when you're feeling down. It's a form of unhealthy attachment, certainly—
—but it DOES help to keep the individual suffering from the disorder more stable. Vox, on top of losing that support beam of his mental health, also never healed from the trauma of losing Alastor, which only made his issues worse. His suffering is twofold, with no way to cope.
