The Daily Mail reports today:
“The inquiry examined concerns about the use of Do Not Attempt Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (DNACPR) decisions and found some were made inappropriately or without proper consultation, based on a person's age, health condition or learning disability.“

Once on a DNACPR (Do Not Resuscitate) order, the End of Life Pathway begins.
This pathway was called Nice guideline NG163. It involves placing the patient on Midazolam (which is a bezodiazepine), plus an opoid.
However, back in 2020 the UK government had ALREADY WARNED on its own website that this could lead to death:
“benzodiazepines (and benzodiazepine-like drugs) and opioid medicines (opioids) can both cause respiratory depression; WHEN USED TOGETHER, additive effects on the central nervous system increase the risks of sedation, respiratory depression, coma, and DEATH.”
