All eurasians have this weird facination with blacks. Ts is why I say we should focus on improving the continent and diaspora communities, no point on debating with nards that don't even see us as human

Africa should be less car centric. It's pathetic honestly. People should be living in Ogun state and working in Lagos easily.
If you have 20m and you want to buy a car of 15 - 17m, GO FOR IT. it's an investment or at least, a leverage, especially in this part of the world. A few years back I had worked and had savings of about 4m. Paid my house rent for a shared apartment on the island because I was squatting with a friend at the time, so was left with about 3.7m. Everywhere looking good, or so I thought. My friend who I was squatting with wanted to relocate and informed me about selling off his Lexus ES 450 2014 model for about 4.5m. He bought it BRAND NEW. I told him I didn't have up to 4.5m and said I had 3.5m. He said no problem. My plan was to give him 3m that month and balance it later. Bro, as a "over wise" financial analyst, I told myself "a car is a liability." That's how I told him not to worry. Went to download Bamboo to "invest." Long story short, I lost the ~3m. When I finally saved up again to what I had initially, the price of the car had doubled. Like play, even after working with good pay, I couldn't afford the freaking ES 450 because now I had to move houses, responsibilities grew. I just sighed. In Nigeria and much of Africa, a car is an asset. You are almost never likely to sell at a loss from what you bought it, as long as it's a good brand. You may think you are wise by deferring a good deal but when you live in an economy where things have a chance of plummeting because of weird leaders, close your eyes and rush any asset you can. After purchasing it, calm down and start planning your destiny. If you doubt me, go and read about Ethiopia. If we are not careful, the newest cars we'll be able to buy in the coming years will be 20-30 years old.

The concept of "cool" in West and Central African languages. In his research, Robert Farris Thompson posits that the idea of "cool" representing calmness, composure and nonchalance is a example on African lexical influence on modern parlance.

Black Immigrants like to blame their failures back home on their governments, absolving themselves of any responsibility. But governments don’t exist in a vacuum, they reflect the societies that produce them. Blaming everything on leadership is just a convenient form of cope.
I don’t understand how his parents come here from the poorest country in the western hemisphere and move to a predominantly African-American and Caribbean-American area of a city at the time and then look down on who they’re surrounded by as if they’re better.

The Manding language continuum extends into Mauritania. In eastern Mauritania, especially along the border region, Bambara is spoken. Just like Mali, Guinea, Senegal, Burkina Faso etc. parts of Mauritania are Manding territory too🇲🇷

I hate to sound like an Unc, but if this is true, it speaks to a bigger problem I’ve been noticing. Growing up, if you lost a fight, you took your L and kept it movin. Nowadays, too many young ppl are quick to pick up a gun because they can’t handle losing a fight.

@oguzparasayan I came across your Iroungo Cave preprint and have one minor suggestion. I REALLY think you should incorporate genomes from Bubi individuals. The Bubi are a Bantu group native to Bioko in 🇬🇶. They have been largely isolated from other groups until ~200ybp and bcuz..

Y-DNA and autosomal genetics suggests a Bantu settlement of Bioko Island ~2000 years ago. A🧵

My attempt on mapping B-M150’s structure in northeast Africa in the image below: Let me know your opinions.
I’ve managed to pin down the exact subclades of haplogroup B-M150 in Eritrea. Luckily the STR markers gave me a clear reading, hence I’m relatively confident in my predictions.

One thing that kinda annoys me about a lot of these studies is that they ignore some of the most basal Bantu populations. Bubis were pretty much isolated from all other populations for like 1800 years AND we have high coverage, publicly-available WGS data from them
This decline could be cuz of the end of late Holocene rainforest crisis. A dry period provided ideal conditions go grow their crop package (yams, millet, cowpeas, etc.) in what was formerly evergreen rainforest. Returning wet conditions undid this o algo teapawt.org/DanTabin/status/211591…

New preprint from @oguzparasayan looks at the origins of Bantu peoples and sequences four historical (~700BP) Congolese genomes. One interesting finding is a population contraction in both Bantu groups and hunter Gatherers ~1500 BP. Read it here: biorxiv.org/content/10.64898…

What caused these Bantu-speaking agropastoralists to migrate to CAfr? The answer might be CLIMATE CHANGE. Bantu migration there corresponds well with the late Holocene rainforest crisis (LHRFC). Starting around ~2.8kya rainforests in CAfr started receding, providing corridors...

Cape Town is so crazy, you can find Malawians competing with the descendants of Malays over “Khoi-San” identification😭😭.
“You may be colonised, but your hair will never change. You can find Khoi-San who have the same hair as me in all museums,” says a woman who has settled at the Castle of Good Hope in Cape Town. However, another group of Khoi-San people questions her identity, accusing her of "false assimilation".@Nobesutu_Hejana reports Watch: tinyurl.com/yjwshzch

How long until they discover their caste system and involvement in the slave trade, and realize they’re not the woke noble savage Muslims they made up in their heads?

Horners do shit like this then wonder why no one actually likes them. While simultaneously despite their own problems West central South and bantu countries are infinitally more functional than horner countries that can't even function on a basic level. Constantly having infighting then turning around fighting each other when you think about it really. The reason why horners obsess over looks is because that's all they have honestly
