My dad read Ender's Game to me when I was 8, and it rewired how I think about problems. Glad the original 1977 short story is finally easy to get, since my kids can see where it started. Made a song about the battle room as a thank-you.

The stories in ENDER’S TRIBE were published in various magazines or anthologies in the past but are now hard to find. Everything else I’ve written in the “Enderverse” is already in book form, so it was time for these to be collected into one too (thanks to Blackstone Publishing @BlackstoneAudio).
The original Ender’s Game short story has been reprinted most, but it seemed right to include it here as well.

“Black kids don’t benefit from the inclusion of white kids.” I completely disagree.
My Black students can learn from white students. My white students can learn from Black students. Neither group is here to “fix” the other.
They’re here to learn, grow, build relationships, and become better young men together.
These boys are going to inherit a world filled with people who don’t look like them. I’d rather teach them how to understand, respect, and work alongside each other now.
I’m not preparing them for a Black world or a white world. I’m preparing them for the world they actually have to live in.

We’ve now moved past the “it’s not a boat” stage to
“okay so it’s a boat, but that doesn’t mean it’s Noah’s Ark!”
They claim they’ve found Noah’s Ark, but there’s a problem.
The story of Noah appears to be a remix of much older Mesopotamian flood stories, which also describe a man building a vessel to survive a devastating flood.
The biblical account appears to reuse many of the same elements in its story of Noah.
So even if this boat-shaped structure turns out to be some kind of ancient vessel, how could anyone prove it belonged specifically to Noah?
Where is the evidence connecting it to him?
It feels like they want it to be Noah’s Ark because it fits their biblical narrative, not because the evidence actually proves it.
You cannot find something shaped like a boat and attach a biblical name to it just to serve your own agenda.
This is just my two pennies’ worth on the subject.

Clarence Thomas is one of the most impressive figures in American history. The stuff he has overcome and accomplished despite those obstacles is incredible.

Because this is right out of Ender’s Game, except the kids in Battle School are Chinese state researchers, the “simulations” are real influence ops, and the Formics (aliens) are.... us.
In Orson Scott Card’s novel, Ender Wiggin spends years inside elaborate digital simulated arenas, commanding fleets, testing strategies, iterating tactics against an enemy he never truly meets - essentially playing video games and being tested against other players. Every variable is controlled, every response measured, every weakness probed until victory is inevitable. There's a twist at the end which I won't ruin for those who haven't read it.
This is what the Chinese are doing now to the West. They scraped 171 million open X posts, inferred age, race, ideology, party, gender resentment, election skepticism - modeling the whole American psyche essentially - and spun up a million-agent digital twin of the US electorate. They can dial up synthetic Pennsylvania voters, feed them a tax-and-redistribution message, watch the reaction in multi-round conversations, refine it, and measure swing-state impact with claimed 47-of-51 accuracy.
They model Trump’s “dependable right-wing base.” They map MAGA content and influencer networks. Their own documents call it “cognitive-domain confrontation and guidance.”
Parts of the system are already being used by the PLA and intelligence units.

This is completely an asymmetrical war as we have no reciprocal capability whatsoever. China is a black box thanks to The Great Firewall and total data sovereignty. We cannot access a corpus of ordinary Chinese citizens for any American lab to scrape.
We cannot build a million-agent model of the Chinese public. We cannot test messages on synthetic Shanghainese factory workers or Chengdu nationalists. We cannot A/B test narratives about Taiwan, the economy, or Party legitimacy and watch the simulated reaction in real time. We do not even know what the average Chinese person thinks because they've been cut off from our information platforms.
We live in a glass house while they live in a fortress. Every American rant, every demographic signal, every cultural fracture is harvested, modeled, and weaponized.
Meanwhile, their population remains opaque, unmodeled, and unreachable. Beijing now possesses a live, continuously updated war-game of the American mind. We possess nothing comparable about theirs.
A whole new level of Unrestricted Warfare has been unlocked. We are really not ready for this
