Nobody really cares what you're building. People care about themselves, their needs and their problems. And that's fine. It's not shade. But if you're in business you have to understand it.

I've built my way around my problems this year. Building stuff has helped me understand the shape of things I never knew before.

How do you teach people to want what they don't even know? What you barely understand? How do you cross that chasm? You show and tell.

Some months back, in June actually, I used to talk to Claude all the time in Obsidian with the Claudian plugin.

I remembered being frustrated because I didn't have a way to have it on my phone. I had this long workaround of always looking at a note on my phone for it to reply to me. So weird.

Now I've built out my whole dashboard setup centred around my knowledge vault, and I can talk to my agents from any surface. It's funny how fast you can build and evolve now.

Sometimes, the market you have is one of convenience. It's the market that has been with you and grown with you over time. The market you need, is often the one you have to go after.

You might have so many talents and abilities, but offering all of them as a menu is the wrong way, you need to structure all of that in a sequenced solution.

I did not start out to make a platform. I started with one tool, and allowed curiosity to carry me further. I spent hours and hours and days working on things that nobody asked for, that nobody understood. But the act of building taught me a lot.

I've got so much happening. I've got my client agents busy making stuff and setting up packs. I've got my invoicing agent. The content agent is working on content. The client portal agent is also doing his thing. Its a very busy agentic office today.

I once lost a client not because I or my team lacked skill. We lost them because we lacked the discipline to say no to a service we weren't comfortable offering. Positioning doesn't become real when you say the right words. It becomes real when you refuse the wrong ones.

A lot of people don't have the wrong skills. They just have the wrong model. That happens a lot. I've been there a lot.

The other day, I had a Teams meeting running on my MacBook, I had to present my work and talk through a build. As I worked through the call with the client, I was also chatting to my agents on the Mini. Mainly the agent in charge of the project I was discussing.

And somehow, between all these devices and protocols, it almost felt like me, my client and my agent were in the same room together. So now I know what to build next into my setup. Actually putting us all in the same room.

Brand as an artefact doesn't ask anything of you after it is delivered. Put it out for the world to see or shove it in a drawer, it doesn't care. Brand as a practice demands you make it real. It demands accountability. It demands investment. It demands proof.

What makes a brand operational? I have been asking it all year. My answer so far: one source, a way to hear the market, and a rhythm. Then you do something with it every week, in the open.

There's a difference between being clear about what you do today and being clear about what you are choosing to become. Because strategic clarity requires choice.

1/ I keep seeing agency owners share the AI prompts they run their business on. I don't work from a prompt doc. I wrote my method down and built a studio of agents around it.

7/ So when people ask me if ChatGPT can build them a business while they relax, this is what I tell them: If you have actual skill in a field, you're a little technically inclined, and you're willing to sit with AI, the possibilities are endless.

8/ In about 4 months I transformed my brand studio into a mostly agentic one. By year end, I would like it to be fully autonomous. I think that's a fun challenge. I'll be sharing the tools and the system as I go.
