Deep sea scroll > doom scroll! 🤩
There’s no room for Sunday scaries here — just absolute wonder at the marvels of our ocean as your Monday arrives!
Swipe on through for some captivating deep sea photos, then let us know which creature of the deep is your favorite! 👀
Something you might not know about sea turtles… 🐢
Some female sea turtles can travel hundreds to thousands of miles through open ocean before returning to nest on or near the very beaches where they hatched as babies.
In fact, leatherback sea turtles nesting in Indonesia have even been documented migrating 10,000 kilometers (about 6,214 miles) to the West Coast of the U.S.! 🧭
So how exactly do these incredible creatures accomplish such a feat without Google Maps? 🗺️
We’ve got the answer: oceanconservancy.org/blog/20…

You can help advocate for safer, cleaner shipping this #WorldMaritimeDay. 🚢
No matter where we live across the country, most of us rely on global shipping for everyday products.
And while shipping plays a big role in the U.S. economy, it also exacerbates climate change. ⚠️
The numbers show just what’s at stake. Recent updates to the rules are projected to:
⛴️ Cut cancer risk near major ports by 55%+
⛴️ Reduce cancer-causing pollution by 89%
⛴️ Save $7+ billion in health care costs
Take action TODAY for #WorldMaritimeDay.
We still have time to defend these lifesaving protections, but we need to act fast. Add your name and tell your senators to defend our ocean and our air!

Did you know horseshoe crabs are basically living fossils? 😮
The oldest known species was discovered in 2008 and is estimated to be nearly 450 million years old. Their physiology has remained largely unchanged over time.
Ancient *and* awesome, if you ask us! 🌊
