If you're a Nigerian developer, whether you're just starting out or you've been building for years, there's so much you can build and learn with homegrown technologies π³π¬β€οΈ
We have:
π³π¬ @Dbrij_hq & @pxxl_space instead of Vercel for hosting.
π³π¬ @StackshiftCloud for VPS hosting and management, as an alternative to providers like Hostinger and tools like Coolify.
π³π¬ @Dbrij_hq & @sendly_ai_ instead of Resend for business and transactional emails.
π³π¬ @cencori instead of OpenRouter and Cloudflare AI Gateway for AI model access and management.
π³π¬ Sabilytics.com instead of Google Analytics and DataFast for website analytics.
π³π¬ @OutRayTunnel for tunnelling local services, as an alternative to tools like ngrok and Cloudflare Tunnel.
π³π¬ @Bachs_hq for international payments, as an alternative to Stripe.
And these are just the ones I can remember right now!
I'm not saying you must stop using international tools.
I'm saying we have people right here building alternatives worth trying, supporting, and contributing to. With better local pricing that fits us.
I know I'm missing so many other products.
What other Nigerian-built products and their global alternatives should be on this list?
Drop them in the replies! π
And if you're building something in Nigeria or anywhere across Africa, please submit your project to Africa Is Building so more people can discover what you're working on β€οΈ

Btw, great developer experience using @OutRayTunnel for the dev tunnel. Peak product fr!
Gm chads, finally deployed @postmorph_ after some few months of inactive development:
> Integrated @polar_sh to manage orders
> Branded the OAuth Consent Screen (no sketchy supabase url)
> Set-up a webhook to update user plan and total credits
Proper launch in a bit β¨

Used @OutRayTunnel first time today, and the onboarding for me is just seamless, from signup to installation and setting up a tunnel. Cool stuff ngl π

Took me less than 5min, from signing up on @OutRayTunnel to getting my first tunnel running.
Testing webhooks have never been this easy.
Great Job to Akin

Replying to @akinkunmi
We love seeing alternatives bloom! πΈ
@OutRayTunnel definitely brings back the spirit of ngrok from ~10 years ago. The space has evolved a lot since then, but itβs always great to see new takes pushing dev tooling forward.
Congratulations on the launch! π
We're live!
ngrok, but cooler and 100% open-source.
OutRay is live. π
