Severus Snape completely outsmarted Voldemort mentally, but could he have ever defeated him in a duel?
The reality of how Snape truly scales against the strongest wizards of his era:
The Prodigy's Arsenal: Snape wasn’t just powerful; he was a magical inventor. Since his school days, he was rewriting potion books and creating deadly dark spells like Sectumsempra.
:-The Ultimate Mind Shield: As a master of Occlumency and Legilimency, he successfully deceived the most dangerous Dark Lord in history for nearly two decades. He was even the only Death Eater trusted to fly without a broom.
:-The McGonagall Metric: During their final duel, Snape effortlessly held his own against a fiercely aggressive Professor McGonagall while actively holding back because he refused to hurt her.
:-The Hard Truth: Even with the prophecy, Snape could never beat Voldemort in a straight fight. Voldemort was a terrifying force of nature who casually fought McGonagall, Slughorn, and Flitwick all at once.
Snape was a genius who matched Voldemort’s intellect, but in a raw, wands-out duel, Albus Dumbledore was the only wizard alive who could ever overpower the
Dark Lord.
Could Snape’s dark arts knowledge have bridged the gap, or was Voldemort simply untouchable?
My Yhwach doesn't deserve this lowkey...
Yhwach’s actions came back to haunt him in the most fitting way.
He manipulated the events that led to Masaki Kurosaki being attacked by a Hollow, changing the course of Ichigo’s life. He also cut Genryūsai Yamamoto in half, killing him. Now, the tables have turned: Grimmjow’s Hollow attack leaves Yhwach poisoned, and Yhwach is cut in half by Ichigo Kurosaki.
The details aren’t identical, but the echoes are hard to miss. The man who set so much tragedy in motion now faces the same kind of consequences he dealt to others. In Bleach, even the most powerful enemies can’t always escape the past they created.
