iPhone now supports double the @oxidecomputer racks- that's 73,728 vCPUs for your agents' cloud computers 🚀

ALT An unfolded iPhone Duo on a wooden table shows the oxide.computer homepage open in two side-by-side browser windows. Each window shows the headline “On-prem that feels like the public cloud” above an illustration labeled “Fig. 1 Oxide Cloud Computer,” a dark server rack filled with glowing green sleds.

Building a switch was a controversial decision. Not for oxide. For investors.
You’re gonna do what?!? I’m out. Was the response from most.
The real ones understood the necessity and invested BECAUSE the team was going all the way.

Reaching product assurance with these four rules, by Steve Karam, @oxidecomputer, is a strong mix of soft & hard skills achieved through discipline & flexibility.
Output "working as expected"? Get that applause & high five, for sure.

We have talked about our Root of Trust (RoT) -- but how do we prevent a bad actor from spoofing Oxide and loading malicious software? This poses a thorny problem: the creation and custody of an important secret that plays a critical role in the manufacturing process -- one that we needed to solve before we could ship the first rack!
Today, @ahl and I are going to be joined by Oxide engineers to explore the unseen anchorage for our root of trust -- and to pay respects for the dot matrix printers that gave their short lives in the process. Join us, 5p Pacific today!

We're joining forces with L Labs to break records and bring the new open source L tick database to disrupt the market data workload space 🚀
The L team will present the results at the NY STAC Summit this Wednesday Oct 21 in a talk titled: "All L broke loose".
Key highlights:
- Highest storage efficiency Highest storage efficiency of any published STAC-M3 Antuco result: 364%
- Outperformed all publicly disclosed results In 16 of 17 Shasta mean-response time benchmarks
- Faster than 14 of 17 Antuco benchmarks vs the most recent NVMe-flash based submission
- Fastest NBBO Fastest Antuco mean-response NBBO among SUTs using the q language

Definitely an advantage to have supply in a great shortage @oxidecomputer
Ben Horowitz reveals Amazon CEO Andy Jassy told him its AI compute is sold out beyond 2028, and says that shortage makes this fundamentally different from the dot-com bubble
“This shortage is so bad. You know, I was speaking with Andy Jassy, who runs Amazon, yesterday. And I said, yeah, like, we’re out of everything, you know, till 2028. He’s like, oh, it’s beyond 2028. Like, I don’t think we get stuff back, like, end of 2028, maybe. So everything else is sold out.”
“So he has the advantage of that, he’s got supply in a great shortage, which is extremely different than the internet bubble. The internet bubble, we didn’t have enough demand, because we had to build the internet, people had to get broadband, you know, you needed all this stuff people had to buy, you know, originally, they had to get their browser at price, all this kind of thing.”
“There weren’t enough consumers on the internet to absorb all the bandwidth that had gotten built out. And they had a massive amount of debt, not unlike we’re building today, although not as big. But the lack of demand killed it. We don’t really have a lack of demand in AI. So I think the dynamics will be different.”
“I do think, like, for sure, if you get into a pathological debt situation, that can wreck anybody. It’s why, by the way, we’re not invested in any of these neo-clouds either, for that reason.”
