PACA 2027 Call for Papers poster for the 5th annual Pan-African Congress on Autism. The event will take place from 7–10 April 2027 at the Skylight Hotel in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The theme is “Scaling Inclusive Autism Support Across Africa: From Early Action to Lifelong Thriving.” The poster includes an aerial image of Addis Ababa, a megaphone graphic, a QR code for abstract submission, the abstract submission link, and information that early bird registration is open through 1 October 2026. The design uses blue, orange and white PACA branding.

Last week, I had the honour of attending he Pan African Congress on Autism (PACA) an experience that left me with a lot to reflect on, especially during Autism Awareness Month. It was organised by @PAC_Autism As part of @GeuzaWazo , I’m always learning. But PACA opened up new layers of understanding, particularly around the co-occurrence of Autism and Epilepsy. It’s a topic I had come across before, but this time, it was explained so clearly and simply that it finally clicked. One session that stood out for me featured parents sharing the kinds of comments they’ve received over the years some of them incredibly insensitive. It was real. Honest. A reminder of the daily realities many families navigate with grace and strength. It was also such a pleasure to meet and connect with fellow disability advocates people like @bobodee, Doreen Gitonga and Jaki Mathaga who are doing incredible work in this space. These moments of community are always a highlight for me. We’ve shared the link to that discussion here: youtube.com/watch?v=sDtL3pl1… I encourage you to listen these are the conversations that challenge us to think differently and build more inclusive spaces. We’re also working on compiling a playlist of key moments from the event stay tuned for that.
