The Grizzlies are definitely the early season surprises after winning its first 6 games - something no one would’ve dared imagine. Ty Jerome has been playing out of his mind while Boozer has been as good as advertised. Memphis is currently 3rd in off. rating and 5th on defense.
At least George King took more than 5 shots like he did in Game 2 as Smb finally played like it wanted to win the game. Wouldn’t be surprising at all if the Beermen take the series despite losing the first 2 contests especially if Jordan Murphy isn’t the best player on the floor.
Aaron Fuller has never been known as a scorer but accounting for a lame 4 pts is unacceptable for a team like Ros. Even though they’re only down 1-2 (with Converge holding double digit leads in all 3 games), it feels like a larger hole that the E-painters will need to dig out of.
Juan put forth another reminder why he should be Pg1 for Gilas with a superb crunch time performance to move Converge to a win away from entering the semis for the first time in franchise history. Nocum had a strong triple-11 trip-dub but lamentably committed 7 huge turnovers.
He’s obviously not the first PBA player to shoot like that but Cuajao jumps forward so much on his threes that he oftentimes initiates contact even when defenders are trying to avoid him. When a clean close out becomes a foul, it’s certainly something officials should address.
A game after he only scored 6 pts against the Lakers, Yaxel Lendeborg exploded for an NBA career-high 37 (on 6 threes) vs the Clippers. Having played organized basketball for only 6 years (which is crazy), he has a lot to improve on despite his age.
In his 24th season + not being a top 3 option, Lebron could average less than 20 pts for the first time in his career (currently at 16.4 ppg with 44.9/26.3/62.5 shooting splits - obviously not great). Things could still change but it doesn't seem likely he'll pass the 20-pt mark.
Jumping out to an East-beat 6-1 record and already beating the likes of the Knicks (2x), Cavs and Pacers, the Sixers, as expected, are looking like legit c’ship faves - also doing it with at least a starter alternately sitting out games. Hoping all the main guys stay injury-free.
The Golden State Valkyries capturing the 2026 Wnba title in just its second season of existence is almost unheard of in any professional sports league. For that alone Joe Lacob and Peter Guber deserve a ton of credit. Kudos to Gabby Williams for winning the Finals MVP award.
Entering the quarters with a 6-game winning streak only to get handily swept by Tnt 3-0 is certainly not a pretty look for Magnolia. The Tropang 5g has a ton of championship experience but to not come close to winning a game is quite disconcerting. Roster changes might be coming.
Whereas in previous conferences when Nlex would finish near the top of the elims just to get embarassed in the playoffs, this Jimmy Alapag-led team feels a lot different. Their system is efficient and roles well defined. Robert Bolick is poised to win his first career Bpc award.
The Lakers were up by 25 points in the first half only to lose by 15. Luka was marvelous in the opening quarter but Steph made him look foolish on defense a few times in second half. Curry once again put on a show, finishing with 31 points on 8 threes.
It's understandable that Mikey Williams plays off the ball alongside Juan but it boggles the mind why Mikey (the undisputed best pg in the PBA when he left Tnt) doesn't play the point when Juan is off the floor. Both can even alternate as the lead guard depending on the matchups.
Converge has to be thankful Cuajao choked on the ft line to negate the silly foul by Abueva on the 4-pt attempt. The Fiberxers should already be up 2-0 if they themselves didn't choke away a Game 1 win. Juan with a big game of 20 pts, 7 rebs + 8 asts to lead his team to victory.
It's honestly time to cancel Isiah Thomas. All the b.s. that comes out of his mouth because of his hatred and jealousy of Michael Jordan is absolutely comical. People should discontinue patronizing the few media outlets that continue to get garbage basketball material from him.
Isiah Thomas says LeBron James and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar are the two greatest players of all time.
“I don’t know if I can get to three others.”

Yaxel Lendeborg is surprisingly making all sorts of NBA history, becoming the first rookie *ever* to record 100+ pts, 40+ rebs and 20+ asts in his first 5 games. More importantly, the Dubs won its second straight game by beating the Wolves powered by Steph's 44 pts (on 6 threes).
Much deserved. As a fan of the 90s Hornets team (Lj was my guy), Bogues being able to do all that he could at his height made him truly special. The thing with Mugsy is that he wasn’t a defensive liability even at 5’3 but more so on offense since he couldn’t shoot from distance.
The Dubs finally win one behind a perfect shooting game from Steph (24 pts, 100% fg, 3fg, ft) and Yaxel Lendeborg’s 31 pts, 12 rebs, and 6 asts. Aj Dybantsa has yet to play a game but Cam Boozer, Caleb Wilson and Lendeborg will be battling it out for the Rookie of the Year award.
Jalen Williams (dislocated left ankle, fractured fibula) and Cason Wallace (torn labrum) both being out for the season is a massive blow for Okc’s title hopes esp after it lost Dort, Wiggins and Joe. The injury Williams sustained could be career-altering as well (Gordon Hayward).
