The @AFFHPCoalition, of which PBGH is a proud member, today released a brand new report on Unfair Billing practices in health care. The report details fundamentally anti-competitive practices that health systems are allowed to engage in from unchecked consolidation.
This includes:
· Inappropriately high or applied facility fees
· Upcoding of clinician bills
· Phantom billing practices
· Predatory medical debt collection practices
