The APC has predicted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will have huge voters support in the North in the 2027 presidential election, whereas it has declared the desire to get over 70% of 100 votes in the region. This comes as political parties increase preparations for 2027 elections, with an attempt to attract voters across the country.

This is a historic milestone, as Governor Oyebanji becomes the first governor in Ekiti State’s over 30-year history to be sworn in for a second term, a powerful testament to his leadership and the confidence reposed in him by the people. I heartily congratulate Governor Oyebanji on this remarkable achievement. May his second term deliver greater development, inclusive governance, economic prosperity, and improved opportunities for the people of Ekiti State. Congratulations, Your Excellency! APC NATIONAL CHAIRMAN MOURNS VICTIMS OF TRAGIC AIRCRAFT CRASH IN ONDO, CONDOLES FAMILIES AND NIGERIAN AIR FORCE. I wish to extend my deepest condolences to the families of the passengers and crew members who lost their lives in the tragic aircraft crash in Igbokoda, Ondo State. This is a devastating loss, made even more painful by the confirmation that there were no survivors. At this difficult moment, my thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families as they confront the unimaginable pain of losing their loved ones. I also extend my heartfelt condolences to the Nigerian Air Force, the Armed Forces of Nigeria and all those connected to the victims. The loss of our military personnel in such tragic circumstances is a painful blow to the nation, considering the sacrifices they make in the service and defence of our country. May God grant the families the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss and comfort them in their hour of grief. To all Nigerians, I share in our collective sorrow over this tragic incident. At a time like this, we must stand together in compassion and solidarity, irrespective of political, ethnic or other differences. May God Almighty receive the souls of the departed, grant them eternal rest, and grant Nigeria the strength to heal from this painful tragedy. May such a devastating incident never occur again. ATIKU GOT IT WRONG: POOR PEOPLE HAVE BVN, NOT IPHONE Alhaji Atiku asked: "How did you transfer N75k to 10 million people without phones?" ANMI-P answers: Sir, a bank account is not a smartphone. The poorest Nigerian in Riyom may not have a phone, but she has: ✅ A NIN ✅ A BVN ✅ A Bank Account ✅ She was physically verified in her village. World Bank NASSP data shows: 94% of people in the Social Register were physically verified, 82% have NIN/BVN, 62% have bank account or wallet. The Social Register is not Facebook. NIN is not TikTok. Payment alert is not WhatsApp message. You don't need a TV to receive money. You need a verified account. The real question should be: Show us the payment records, the audit trail, the transaction logs. And on that, we agree with Atiku - Government should be fully transparent. But to say a Nigerian does not exist because he does not have a smartphone? That is not an audit, that is an assumption. ANMI-P

They are changes reflected in the numbers and in the lives of Nigerians.

PRESIDENT TINUBU DEPARTS PARIS FOR NIGERIA, HEADS TO LAGOS FOR STRATEGIC ENGAGEMENTS President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has concluded his working vacation in France and departed Paris for Nigeria, according to a statement issued by the Presidency. The President is expected to arrive at the Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos later today, September 29, where he will begin a series of engagements before returning to Abuja. According to the statement signed by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, President Tinubu chose to travel first to Lagos to honour the memory of the late Chief MKO Abiola, widely associated with Nigeria’s June 12, 1993 presidential election. On Independence Day, the President is scheduled to attend the premiere of a movie celebrating Abiola at the Wole Soyinka National Theatre in Iganmu, Lagos. The Presidency also disclosed that President Tinubu will use his stay in Lagos to hold strategic meetings with political leaders and associates as preparations for the 2027 elections continue. President Tinubu left Abuja on August 30 for the working vacation. He spent a week in London before proceeding to Paris, where he undertook a number of official and business-related engagements. In Paris, the President attended a private dinner with French President Emmanuel Macron and held meetings with business leaders, including Vincent Bolloré of the Bolloré Group. He also met with Femi Otedola, Chairman of First Holdings. The President also witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ogun State Government and DP World for the development of a Gateway Deep Seaport in Ogun Waterside and the establishment of a Blue Marine Economic Zone. The proposed investment, according to the Presidency, is valued at $7 billion and is expected to support the development of port and logistics infrastructure as well as economic activities in the area. President Tinubu is expected to return to Abuja after concluding his political engagements in Lagos. ANMI-P 29/09/2026

CONSUMER CREDIT SCHEME: 67,512 NIGERIANS BENEFIT AS TINUBU ADMINISTRATION EXPANDS ACCESS TO FINANCE President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced that 67,512 Nigerians across 25 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) accessed credit backed by the National Credit Guarantee Company (NCGC) in its first year of operations. He made the disclosure on Monday, September 28, 2026, as Nigeria prepares to mark its 66th Independence Day. According to figures released by the Presidency and reported by Channels Television, the NCGC has issued ₦21.59 billion in guarantees. These enabled participating financial institutions to extend ₦46.95 billion in loans to borrowers. The programme has also opened the door to the formal financial system for thousands of Nigerians. Of the beneficiaries, 11,374 are women, while 33.5 per cent are first-time formal borrowers. The initiative is being implemented through the Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation (CREDICORP), in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy. It seeks to broaden responsible access to credit and expand economic opportunities. The NCGC currently works with 19 financial institutions, including commercial banks, microfinance banks and development finance institutions. Its role is to share part of the lending risk with these institutions, particularly where viable borrowers lack sufficient collateral or an established credit history. According to NCGC estimates cited by the President, businesses supported through the programme account for approximately 661,291 direct and indirect jobs. President Tinubu said the scheme forms part of his administration's broader effort to move Nigeria towards a credit-based economy. In such an economy, he said, workers, entrepreneurs and businesses can obtain financing to meet immediate needs, expand operations and invest for future income. He added that the Federal Government will continue to expand access to credit, describing the initiative as a means of turning economic reforms into practical opportunities for households and businesses. The development underscores the administration's emphasis on financial inclusion and on creating mechanisms that allow more Nigerians to participate in the formal credit economy.
