Two interviews with NIH director Jay Bhattacharya about poor health, poor science, Covid-19, censorship, and Cochrane’s downfall. I have summarised the many interesting issues, with my comments. My own interview was filmed. bit.ly/4ifOLka.
Covid vaccine harms coverup: FDA suppressed data that showed that the mRNA vaccines in rare cases kill children because of myocarditis. As usual, the New York Times starred as the useful idiot for Big Pharma and the FDA. bit.ly/4ibWY8S
Quote of the day, a reply to one of my tweets: Believing that pharmaceutical companies want to heal you is like believing a casino wants you to win.
Similarities between forced treatment in psychiatry and Nazi concentration camps. bit.ly/3VSGDi4. It can be deadly to provoke the guards. If you tell your psychiatrist that your antipsychotic isn’t working, you might be killed by an increase in dose.
Big pharma is organised crime. In November 2014, I explained this in an interview that has been seen by half a million people on YouTube. I have now uploaded it on my own website. bit.ly/4yXlfH4. I said that our prescription drugs are the third leading cause of death, after heart disease and cancer. In 2024, I did more detailed studies and found that our drugs are the leading cause of death, and psychiatric drugs alone are the third leading cause of death. We should therefore take far fewer drugs than we take, which would lead to longer and better lives.
Scientific dishonesty: Danish screening trial in NEJM totally misrepresented in press releases bit.ly/4B73oPe. Health checks do not prolong men’s lives; cardiovascular screening does not lower mortality; and drugs against cholesterol cannot in future save even more lives
A hoax following Trump’s order to rename Lake Ontario “Lake America” was grabbed by Trump who published it on his own social media channel. We prefer the old names, incl. the Mexican Gulf. What’s next? The Atlantic Ocean will become the Trump Ocean, perhaps?
The difference between psychiatry and everything else in healthcare: If you have survived a heart attack, you won’t do the opposite of what your doctor recommends, but in psychiatry, you might die if you follow your doctor’s advice.
Huge disagreements about psychiatric diagnoses. bit.ly/3Uq3FMM. 1,038 doctors from 19 countries were presented with nine written patient case descriptions. When two psychiatrists diagnose the same patient, they will agree only 55% of the time. Diagnoses within the schizophrenia spectrum proved particularly challenging.
Donald Trump calls himself @realDonaldTrump. Is there anything real about this man who supports Putin’s war crimes in Ukraine by bying Russian oil? On Truth Social, Trump said “Massive Oil, Gas, and Mineral Exploration is getting ready to begin in our new and beautiful Greenland!" “Our” Greenland? Is the man crazy? And is this the “Truth Social”?
Deceiving the psychiatrist to survive: A patient wrote to me that he was admitted with a first-episode mania, and although he asked not to be treated with drugs, he was forced to take Zyprexa (olanzapine, an antipsychotic). He tried to behave well, fearing he might otherwise not be released. At discharge, a psychiatrist declared him cured and insisted that he should continue with the drug for the rest of his life because he had a chronic disease, with a great risk of relapse. She also told him that he shouldn’t be afraid of the drug’s harms, which is exceedingly poor advice because these drugs double mortality and cause irreversible brain damage. He didn’t tell her he had spat out most of the pills. The reason why he didn’t take the drug was that he had read my 2014 article about ten harmful myths in psychiatry bit.ly/4zAeL0P. He has been well ever since without drugs.
Over 30 films were shown at the Mad in Norway film festival. You can see some of them here: madinnorwayfilmfest.org/film…. They are generally about how mental issues can be healed and why you should not take psychiatric drugs.
NY Times did it again, betrayed us. bit.ly/4s0PpXf. They dismissed a dramatic increase in veteran suicides after a programme of screening and treatment with depression drugs was introduced by saying that these drugs are life-saving. They kill a huge amount of people.
Didn't anyone tell you it is okay to be different? Personal reflections from the Mad in Norway film festival. bit.ly/4dZ4TVP. Many of the stories I heard and the films were a testimony to psychiatry’s total failure. The only treatment that can work is one where the patient is encouraged and empowered to become an equal partner in the process of healing, which is a key principle in Open Dialogue, with minimal drug usage.
Reader comment on my article about medical journals hiding that depression drugs increase suicides: “Good grief, the BMJ solicits advertising from the drug companies right on their home page.” The ad was for Biktarvy against HIV, which costs a trifle of $4,000 per month. bit.ly/3VzbEay.
Leading medical journals conceal suicide risk and other drug harms and refuse to correct fraud they have published. bit.ly/3VzbEay. This censorship, which protects the income journals have from Big Pharma, is lethal.
ECT: See you in court. We must make this barbaric treatment illegal. Some court cases have been won; others are onging. This is how we may stop the madness that destroys the memory of so many people and even kill some of them. bit.ly/3V6Z1n5.
The most mendacious abstract ever in a psychiatric journal? If you compare with my freely available books (see scientificfreedom.dk/books/), you can judge for yourself. Antipsychotics are highly lethal and they destroy people, it is as simple as that. Here is the abstract (bit.ly/4rJv7RV):
Antipsychotic non-adherence, driven partly by stigma, worsens outcomes in severe mental illness. Beyond ameliorating psychosis, evidence shows sustained antipsychotic treatment reduces mortality, cardiovascular risk, suicide, inflammation and cognitive decline, while improving quality of life. Reframing antipsychotics as essential medical care may reduce stigma and improve engagement with patients and clinicians.
Reader comment: “Thank you for your work. Whenever I’m trying to explain to friends or family that pharmaceutical drugs are on average a fraud and quite dangerous, they look at me like I’m crazy. And they do not want me to explain how the fraud is instituted. It’s sad because I see so much harm. But I want to know the truth so I am grateful for investigative work like yours. Thanks again.” Why is it that many people are so naïve or totally ignorant about Big Pharma whose business model is organised crime and whose drugs kill millions of patients every year who didn’t even need the drugs that killed them? WHY?
