Smt. Nivedita Shukla Verma, Secretary (Pension) highlighted the intiatives undertaken by the Department including constant feedback to the Ministries/Departments about the quality of the redressal of the greivances. She informed that family pensioners from the state of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, West Bengal, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Punjab are attending the Pension Adalat.

Held the 17th All India "Pension Adalat" organised by the Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare #DoPPW.
At today's Adalat 897 pending cases cum grievances were taken up, out of which 756 cases were redressed on the spot, registering a redressal rate of 84.2 per cent. This reflects the success of the Pension Adalat initiative, which was conceived and undertaken after PM Sh @narendramodi took over in 2014.
While the Pension Adalat exercise has brought huge relief to many a senior citizen, it also sometimes provides valuable inputs for improvement in departmental working.
There are several success stories. For example, the case of Smt Chander Kanta Jally, whose husband made the supreme sacrifice as a soldier in 1973. She was sanctioned a Liberalised Family Pension. However, due to certain reasons, the family pension paid to her was lower than the amount to which she was entitled.
At the Pension Adalat, Sh Jaswinder Jally, her son, joined through video conferencing from Chandigarh and presented the grievance on behalf of his mother. The case was discussed at length. Subsequently, family pension arrears amounting to Rs. 2.02 crore were released.

The Central Civil Services Cultural & Sports Board under the Department of Personnel & Training celebrated National Sports Day 2026–27 on 25 August 2026 at Vinay Marg Sports Ground, New Delhi.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of men and women in various sporting activities, including individual games, team events, a mixed 4 × 50 metre relay race and special events for Divyang participants.
The celebration aimed to promote fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship and employee well-being while encouraging active participation in sports among Central Government employees.

Introduction of Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System
DoPT introduced the Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) to bring systemic change in marking attendance across Central Government offices.
The system enables real-time biometric authentication attendance based on Aadhaar numbers, supports multiple platforms and form factors, and facilitates employees in tracking their working hours.
AEBAS also does away with conventional paper registers required for attendance data and leaves no scope for proxy attendance.

Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Mr. Lutchmanah Raj Pentiah, Minister of Public Service and Administrative Reforms, Republic of Mauritius, at Kartavya Bhavan, New Delhi.
Dr. Jitendra Singh said, “India and Mauritius share a special relationship rooted in deep historical, cultural and people-to-people ties, public administration and capacity building provide a natural area for further cooperation.”
The discussions focused on further strengthening of India-Mauritius cooperation in public service, training and capacity building, with greater emphasis on sustained institutional engagement and exchange of expertise between the two countries.
The meeting also discussed Mission Karmayogi, iGOT Karmayogi Mauritius, ABVIPSI and stronger linkages between Mauritian and Indian training institutions, with a focus on building long-term public service capabilities.
