A Somali village tucked in a remote semi- arid area in northern Kenya with solar-powered radio as the only source of information celebrated Democrat's victory due to the number of Somalis who romped to victory.
They gather around the small radio listening to BBC Somali Service.
They hardly miss a single programme.
The British recognised the Somali language during the colonial period. It's on air since.

It took the World Bank to say what Kenyans have suspected for years: we overpaid for the SGR by up to Sh117 billion. The numbers are damning:
🇰🇪 Mombasa–Nairobi: Sh988M per km. Diesel. Non-electrified.
🇹🇿 Dar–Dodoma: Sh740.8M per km. Electrified.
🇩🇯🇪🇹 Djibouti–Addis: Sh689M per km. Electrified, and through mountains up to 2,300m.
♦️Kenya's line climbs to only 1,600m. We built the lowest-spec line and paid the highest price.
♦️ Why? The #WorldBank names at least 30% of the overpayment:
✅Direct contracting instead of competitive tendering
✅Land speculation
✅Outright fraud in land valuation and compensation
♦️ So this wasn't about terrain or engineering. It was governance. Meanwhile:
✅We borrowed Sh649.9bn from China Exim
✅Repayment has been stretched to 2040
✅SGR revenue sits in a joint account as security for China
✅The State fought in court to keep the contracts secret, and lost at the Court of Appeal in May
♦️ Still, Treasury says it can't share the terms. And now we're borrowing again to extend the line to Malaba, through bonds backed by your railway levy.
♦️ Who signed off on Sh988M per km? And why is nobody paying for it except the taxpayer? #SGR #WorldBank #Kenya
I am speaking for the silent Luo/Somali/Coast Majority when I say, Shame on you Luo/Somali/Coast leaders! What is in MURANGA or KIAMBU that is not at your homes? The citizens are tired! Only happy people are you, bloggers, your beneficiaries of those corruption schemes!
Can someone explain, why can't Matiang'i do rallies in others areas which are deep in Kenya kwanza. This team is only doing rallies in Mlima, kajiado and Narok that was already flattened by DCP.
It is very clear that this team is challenging DCP in its strongholds.

This morning, I have welcomed Hon. Agnes Njambi Githinji to the DCP Party after her defection from Jubilee party.
Hon. Njambi contested the Nakuru County Woman Representative seat in the 2022 General Election on a Jubilee ticket, securing more than 180,000 votes. At the request of her supporters, she is now seeking to represent Gilgil Constituency in Parliament on a DCP PARTY.
With her extensive grassroots network, I have encouraged her to build on that support and prepare for the party nominations in March next year.
DCP is the party of the moment—and the future is Green.

Dear Matiang'i, Martha Karua, and whoever follows you tomorrow in your Kiambu rally, at the end of all your rallies you must tell us how many people you've converted to Wantam.
You can't be running around where my party leader Rigathi has gone and dusted. Are you campaigning against Rigathi or are you campaigning against Kasongo?
Use the energy and the expensive fuel to campaign in Nyanza and Kisii. What will be the measure of your success? HII MLIMA NI YA RIGATHI!

Riggy G campaigning for JB Muturi’s DP Candidate in Mbeere North at 6 AM in the morning. At this hour, Muturi would be removing ‘lock’ with Karǒvǒ in Kanyuambora market. He’d only show up in the afternoon to shout at the rallies, hammered AF. JB is a very shameless fellow.

My advise @rigathi @methumuhia ignore those briefcase parties like Sifuna ignored caleb amisi. DCP is a giant. Advise journalists not to ask questions about Matiang'i,ndindi ,muturi or those other people before going to their shows. Starve them of the attention they are seeking.

The country exploded into flames after the dog-blood oathed Yamunes started burning homes of Gema and Omugisii.
Kriegler report: most constituencies in Luo Nyanza and Kalenjin rift valley had turnouts of over 100%.
The highest in kibaki strongholds was 82% (Othaya).
Raila won in Rift valley, Western, Nyanza and coast.
Kibaki won in eastern, central, Nairobi and north Eastern.
Gathee, Martha Karua strood up to the bullies at KICC, akina Miguna. She did nothing wrong. Look for another punching bag.
The record has to be set straight. Remember that.
On Ethiopia's conflict and the refugee influx into Kenya, what if someone is registering these immigrants as voters? The opposition must rally locals against issuing foreigners Kenyan documents, like our Western brothers have done.
The 50%+1 clause makes the DP position inherently negotiable. William Ruto handpicked his running mate in 2022, and is now promising to do the same in 2027. That needs studying.

There are alot of things we are not paying attention to.
Like this new law brought by Water Regulation Authority.
Imagine the government has refused to supply pumped water to homesteads,
And again, they now want to start charging you for a borehole you've sunk in your own compound.
Normally, you are asked to pay for drilling permits and hydrological surveys.
But now they want to fix a meter on your own pipe again.
After looting resources, borrowing odious debts, now they are taxing everything to service what we never benefited from.

7 western media organisations have called me to ask how the Kenyan who died from Ebola was able to go through Uganda.
7!!
Our beloved Kenyans have strict Ebola controls at JKIA.
Shouldn’t you be asking how he got through those controls.
Leave Uganda out of this conversation.
We don’t have Ebola here.
Thanks.
