oscar on struggling with the mcl40's inconsistency:
"i could fix one place and not another; it was a struggle. i could achieve something decent one lap, but trying to repeat it was very, very tough. that's been the story of the weekend, and in some ways, the story of the year."

some positives from the austin gp!
"i've been able to tackle some of the struggles that come with this kind of track, where it's very unpredictable and a lot of things can upset the car. i've done a better job dealing with it, but there's still a lot of work to do."

โthe feeling of sitting in the car and what iโm trying to achieve is the same as when i was ten years old. but ten year old me would be looking at that going โ this is the best thing ever!โ

#Interesting how nonexistent upgrades for Oscar made the car 'slower' when Norris has confirmed he had the entitlement as the wdc to make the team develop it towards him, Stella shitting on Oscar all year saying the regs don't suit him and suit Norris more

One of the things I admire most in Oscar Piastri as an athlete and as a human overall is the levelheadedness, the way he thinks before he speaks, the way he handles his emotions. These are all attributes that most people lack. It says more about the ppl criticizing him actually.

everyone wants to comment on oscarโs 25 season but no wants to know what actually happened cause wdym no harsh penalties, no crashes, no teammate trying to n*ke, no team orders, no fuckup strats??? only thing we didnโt had was a mechanical dnf THATS ALL

The facts are right here โ McLaren knows this car was never suited to Oscar. This car absolutely wasn't built for Oscar, and it sure as hell isn't doing him any favours. I never said who McLaren built it for โ you lot can go ahead and say they built it for thin air.

while acknowledging he's not been anywhere near as competitive as he'd like to be, oscar said there was progress made this weekend ๐๐ป
"in the corners i thought would be a struggle it's been pretty good this weekend. the areas i've been working on are still showing progress."
