Press Release by Dr. Moses Paul (Dr Mo) The National Cordinator, Obidient Movement
PRESS STATEMENT MY APPOINTMENT AS NATIONAL COORDINATOR OF THE OBIDIENT MOVEMENT: A CALL TO NIGERIAN YOUTHS TO RISE, ORGANISE AND RECLAIM THEIR FUTURE Nigeria has reached a point where silence is complicity and inaction is surrender. The time to act is NOW! I sincerely thank His Excellency, Mr Peter Obi, and the leadership and members of the Obidient Movement for the confidence reposed in me through my appointment as National Coordinator. I accept this responsibility with humility and a firm commitment to the mission ahead. I am not accepting a title; I am accepting the responsibility to organise a generation and strengthen a movement whose mission is bigger than any individual. TO NIGERIAN YOUTHS: YOUR COUNTRY IS CALLING! How much longer must Nigerians endure hunger, unemployment, poverty, collapsing businesses and bad governance while corruption, waste and impunity thrive? Nigeria does not belong to politicians. It belongs to all of us, particularly the young generation whose future must not be sacrificed to the interests of a political elite. Our frustration is justified, but anger without organisation achieves little. We must move beyond hashtags and complaints to organised, peaceful and determined democratic action. We must become informed, active citizens who demand accountability and defend democracy. OUR VISION: FROM MOVEMENT TO NATIONAL FORCE The Obidient Movement represents the aspirations of millions who believe that competence, character, compassion and accountability must define leadership. Mr Peter Obi has inspired Nigerians to believe that a different country is possible, but rebuilding Nigeria requires organised citizens, not one individual. My priority is to build a functional, disciplined and inclusive structure across every state, LGA, ward, community and polling unit. Our direction will rest on five pillars: ORGANISE: Build functional structures with clear responsibilities and measurable results. UNITE: Overcome internal divisions and put the mission above personal interests. LISTEN: Give youths, women, professionals, workers and ordinary Nigerians a meaningful voice. COMMUNICATE: Establish coordinated, professional and truthful communication to counter misinformation. MOBILISE: Turn supporters into active citizens through civic education, voter participation and grassroots engagement. 2027: DEFEND OUR DEMOCRACY! Reports of suspected AI-generated photographs in INEC's preliminary voter register and alleged irregularities in voter and polling-unit figures demand urgent investigation. One reported case alleges that a polling unit associated with Governor Monday Okpebholo increased from 397 registered voters in 2024 to 4,783 in 2026. If these records are verified as comparable for the same polling unit, this discrepancy demands a transparent explanation. INEC must provide answers and submit the register to an independent forensic audit. These allegations must not be treated as proof of electoral fraud, but neither should they be dismissed without investigation. We must prepare in advance with voter education, trained polling-unit volunteers, election monitoring, proper documentation, and lawful defence of the people's votes. The 2027 election must reflect the genuine choices of Nigerians, not manipulated records or electoral impunity. UNITY, RECOGNITION AND ACCOUNTABILITY I recognise and appreciate Dr Yunusa Tanko for his dedication and contributions to the Movement. I am not coming to replace anyone but to work with everyone. No individual owns this Movement, and nobody should be bigger than its purpose. Leadership must be measured by service, commitment and results. Every coordinator, volunteer and supporter has a role to play in this national assignment. MY CHARGE TO NIGERIAN YOUTHS If not us, who? If not now, when? Reject the normalisation of poverty, ethnic and religious divisions, political manipulation and the sale of your conscience. Your PVC, your voice and your participation matter.

The energy at Alimosho was unmistakable and the message was clear: Lagosians are ready for a new direction. Alongside His Excellency, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, we connected with the people and witnessed their enthusiasm and determination to make their voices count. This is what people-powered politics looks like. Not politics from behind closed doors. But leadership that shows up, engages, listens, and stands with the people. Together, we can build a Lagos that works for everyone. The people are ready. Lagos is ready. I am ready. Ó TI YÁ.

CROSS RIVER STATE: RESTORING TOURISM, REVIVING OUR PORTS AND LISTENING TO THE PEOPLE After my return from USA on Tuesday November 3rd evening, I held a meeting with Lagos State NDC candidates, and yesterday November 4th morning, I travelled to Calabar, Cross River State, in continuation of our series of town hall meetings and engagements across the country. In Calabar, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and I led our Cross River State NDC candidates, party members and other supporters on a courtesy visit to His Eminence, Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu V, the Obong of Calabar. At the palace of the respected traditional ruler, we informed him of our visit and the town hall meeting. He generously shared his words of wisdom with us and offered prayers and blessings. At the town hall meeting, we had our usual interactive session, where participants expressed their concerns and asked questions about our plans for the Calabar Port, the restoration of Cross River State to its former status as a leading tourism destination, security, the economy and the general welfare of Nigerians when we are elected. In my remarks, I assured them of the commitment of Senator Kwankwaso and me to uniting and securing the country and immediately embarking on aggressive investments in critical areas of development, particularly education and healthcare, while pulling our people out of poverty. I also assured the teeming crowd of participants and supporters that, under our stewardship, the Calabar Port would become fully operational, alongside other ports across the Niger Delta. On tourism, I recalled with nostalgia how Calabar, Obudu and other destinations in Cross River State used to be preferred tourism destinations for Nigerians and even foreigners. Today, due to poor governance and inadequate attention, the state has lost much of its tourism value. I committed to restoring Cross River State to its pride of place, starting with my personal commitment, when elected President, to spending my holidays at its tourism destinations. I encouraged our members and supporters to be prepared to defend their votes on Election Day, especially in the face of continued hostility from the government. My sincere gratitude goes to our teeming supporters, party members, candidates and well-wishers who attended the town hall meeting. I thank the organisers and the good people of Cross River State for the successful programme and their warm hospitality. A New Nigeria is POssible, and Nigeria will be OK! -PO

BREAKING NIGERIAN POLITICS NEWS: Reports have it that a Federal High Court in Abuja has sacked the Senator David Mark-led leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), declaring its leadership structure and related actions invalid. The court also nullified the process that produced former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as the party's presidential candidate for the 2027 general election. The judgment followed a legal challenge by Nafiu Bala Gombe, who disputed the emergence of the David Mark-led leadership. The ruling represents a major legal setback for the ADC as the party prepares for the 2027 general election.
Tinubu And Atiku Are Too Old to Contest the 2027 Presidency, They Should Step Aside for Younger People — Former Governor, Olagunsoye Oyinlola Former Osun State Governor, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, has described President Bola Tinubu and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as too old to seek the presidency in 2027, urging them to make way for younger Nigerians. Oyinlola made the remarks on Wednesday during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, where he argued that the country needs younger leaders to take over its leadership. He recalled that while serving as governor of Osun State, he had advised against people above the age of 50 aspiring to govern a state, citing his personal experience in office. According to him, both Tinubu and Atiku have made their contributions and should allow younger Nigerians to take up leadership positions. “Tinubu and Atiku are too old to contest the 2027 presidency. They should step aside for younger people. “When I was in Osun, I made a declaration based on my experience in office that anybody above 50 should not aspire to be governor of a state,” Oyinlola said.

NO PUBLIC OFFICIAL IS ABOVE THE CONSTITUTION — DR MO CALLS ON NIGERIANS TO RESIST INTIMIDATION, REJECT IMPUNITY AND DEFEND DEMOCRACY.
We appear to be living in a country where those entrusted with public authority increasingly speak and act as though they are above the law. From ministers making inflammatory public statements, to local government chairmen telling citizens to leave, senators threatening citizens with violence, and ruling party officials making statements that undermine public confidence in our democracy, one must ask: Where is our respect for the Constitution, the rule of law, and the dignity of the Nigerian people? Nigeria is not the private property of any political party, president, minister, senator, governor, or local government chairman. Public office is a responsibility, not a licence to intimidate, insult, threaten, or silence citizens. Nigeria still has a Constitution. Nigerians still have rights. And those in power must be held accountable. History teaches us that no political authority is permanent. Power changes hands, governments come and go, and those who believe themselves untouchable eventually discover that the people and history have the final say. The time has come for Nigerians to rise in courage, unity, constitutional resistance, peaceful protest, civic action, and an uncompromising demand for accountability. We must reject intimidation, challenge impunity, defend our democratic institutions, and insist that every public official is subject to the law. No government has the right to treat citizens as enemies simply because they disagree. No political party owns Nigeria. No public official is above the Constitution. Those who abuse power must understand that the Nigerian people are watching, history is recording, and accountability cannot be postponed forever. We must resist tyranny. We must reject impunity. We must defend our country. Nigeria belongs to all of us not to those who temporarily occupy positions of power. Dr Mo National Coordinator Obidient Movement (Global)

_POMR PRESS STATEMENT FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE._ *OBI MEDIA OFFICE DENOUNCES THUG ATTACK ON PETER OBI’S CAMPAIGN CONVOY IN CALABAR.* The Obi Media Office unequivocally condemns the barbaric act of some youths in Calabar who attacked Peter Obi’s campaign convoy on Wednesday. This unacceptable act of political violence endangers democracy, peaceful political participation, and the fundamental rights of Nigerians. We are especially alarmed by the calculated exploitation of Nigerian youths by desperate politicians who take advantage of the current economic hardship, entice vulnerable young people with money, and enlist them to carry out violence and obstruct democratic activities. Regrettably, the individuals who finance and organise such violence remain safely at home and insulated from the consequences, while innocent youths are manipulated into jeopardising their freedom, future, and lives. Nigerian youths must not be used as tools of destruction by self-serving politicians. Their future should be built through education, productive participation, and leadership—not violence or political thuggery. We urge the security agencies to conduct a comprehensive investigation, uncover both the perpetrators and those sponsoring them, and ensure that everyone responsible is held accountable and brought to justice. Peter Obi remains firmly dedicated to a peaceful, issue-focused campaign and urges all political stakeholders to uphold civility, tolerance, and democratic principles. Nigeria is a nation we all share. No political aspiration justifies the loss of a Nigerian life. E-sign. Idris Zekeri Jnr. November 5, 2026.

Dr Mo's remark on todays Town Hall in Calabar
Calabar was truly electric today! The energy, warmth and beautiful reception that greeted Mr Peter Obi and Senator @KwankwasoRM at the town hall meeting were remarkable. Mr @PeterObi return from the United States, accompanied by his lovely wife, brought an even more special dimension to the ongoing town hall engagements across the country. It was a beautiful experience, filled with renewed enthusiasm, meaningful conversations and the unmistakable spirit of civic participation. Unfortunately, after the town hall, some suspected APC thugs reportedly attempted to attack one of the vehicles in the convoy. They apparently picked the wrong day and the wrong people for that adventure. They were firmly resisted and, by all accounts, left with a rather painful lesson. Those who came looking for trouble certainly did not have the last laugh! But beyond the drama, political thuggery and intimidation must have no place in our democracy. Nigerians deserve to engage, assemble and express themselves without fear. Enough of this nonsense! Dr. Mo National Coordinator, Obidient Movement (Global)
