It’s #NationalBBQWeek & while most minor BBQ burns won’t require treatment at A&E, any burns are a worry (and it’s certainly best to #BeBurnsAware and avoid one.)
However, it’s important to seek medical attention in some cases - so we’ve listed some red flags to look out for🧵⬇️
🚩goes all the way around a limb
🚩is larger than three inches in diameter
🚩looks infected (has a pus-like discharge, increasing redness, high temperature)
🚩happens to a young child or elderly person
Remember: symptoms such as chills, dizziness, fever, shivering and severe pain are warning signs of a more serious injury. ⚠️
