"Given Morejon's age and dominance, he's likely in line for a pretty big deal in terms of both average annual value and years." Pros and Cons: Should the Mets sign Adrian Morejon? (via @DannyAbriano) sny.tv/articles/pros-cons-me…

Japanese infielder Teruaki Sato to be posted in time to potentially sign prior to the lockout Sato, who won the NPB triple crown in 2026 makes sense to me as a power hitting 1B option for the Mets
Gaijin Baseball/外国人野球@GaijinBaseballOct 19
The Hanshin Tigers have accepted Teruaki Sato's posting request The Tigers will likely post him as early as possible to give him a chance to sign before the lockout

Dombrowski: The Phillies hired former Mets manager Carlos Mendoza as third-base and infield coach. They’ve also re-signed lefty Tim Mayza to a one-year deal.

Scott Boras There’s your reason. He will keep going until there’s just one team left standing, and often he will even squeeze a little more out of that one remaining team It’s on the Mets to be the top bidder, that’s where Boras clients almost exclusively go

Why should i believe the mets wont just get left at the altar again. They wont get shot to match an offer etc.

I can’t tell you they will, but they should I can’t tell you they’ll get him, it’s free agency I would just urge them to do what’s necessary

Me too, Zac Now’s the time. Look ahead to the next couple free agent classes, there isn’t a guy like this. Leads all SP in WAR since 2022 and 4th in SP ERA Mets need an alpha, Skubal is that alpha If not now, when?

Zac Thornton hopes Mets sign Tarik Skubal: 'It would be awesome'

Tarik Skubal will be the top free agent on the market when it opens five days after the conclusion of the World Series. Count Mets left-hander Zac Thornton among those hoping Skubal lands in Queens.
