More of this please. Simple, digestible little nugget that shows that Michal Martin - and FF/G in general - believes in nothing and stands only outside interests over the interests of Irish people.
Ireland is a Neutral country! Yet our political leaders are dragging the country into alignments the PEOPLE DONT WANT!
Mícheal Martin is on his last legs as FF leader.
Yet he is taking a wrecking ball to the FF core values.

#MCFC’s key defence in its appeal over the Premier League guilty verdict was denied by its own title sponsor Etihad Airways in an extensive submission to the US government in 2015

🤓 In fact, these extracts ARE consistent with City's case. I have not reviewed the full report but those 2 extracts distinguish debt and equity from subsidies. Once debt is raised or equity is issued, the cash proceeds become "liquidity" of Etihad.
Subsidies are, in this sense, gifts and the funder gets nothing. Equity is dilutive and shareholder loans are repayable. Neither are "subsidies". This detail does matter and is potentially undermined elsewhere in those docs. I haven't checked.
PS I'm not putting a disclaimer on every tweet about the merits of the appeal.
So it begins....
EXCL: Etihad Airways has called on the world’s “most feared law firm”, Quinn Emanuel, in its potential legal action against the Premier League. The US law firm has been named “most feared” by BTI Consulting five years in a row.

BREAKING: #ManCity’s ‘irrefutable evidence’ referred to throughout the Premier League case relates to government bank statements and witness statements presented at the hearing, showing money being transferred to sponsors from government accounts, which was then used by sponsors to pay @ManCity.

Massive evidential and procedural issues.... One day in 🤔
Etihad Airways statement:
Etihad categorically rejects any finding, conclusion or implication that suggests the airline has ever been involved in improper commercial arrangements. The Premier League’s public communication of the Commission’s findings, following a period of selective leaks and reporting, has further created damaging implications for Etihad despite the airline not being named in the redacted published findings.
At no time did the Premier League reach out to or engage with Etihad in the process associated with the Commission’s opinion. Etihad was therefore never given the opportunity by the Premier League to be represented, to provide relevant information, or to ensure the accuracy and fairness of information relied upon in reaching conclusions that may now be interpreted as reflecting adversely on the airline.
Etihad is deeply concerned by the way this matter has been communicated publicly. The lack of clarity and transparency, together with the selective disclosure of information, has created damaging implications for Etihad despite the airline not being named in the published decision. The Premier League must take responsibility for the consequences of the way in which these findings have been presented.
We stand with the Club, its supporters and our wider Etihad community as Manchester City challenges the Commission’s conclusions through the processes available to it. Etihad will seek the relevant legal counsel on the options and recourse available to protect its interests.

They spent years investigating #ManCity.
Years.
Tens of millions in legal costs.
And apparently nobody thought:
“Maybe we should ask Etihad?”
You are having a fucking laugh.
