Beyond how well written and how brillaint this piece of journalism is (Kudos to Jackie) - this article brought me to tears. To Demar, Chris, John Lucas and especially to @kevinlove - you are my true heroes even more for all of this espn.com/nba/story/_/id/2438…

Man people love to say “let footy players have personalities” when someone is a dickhead but as soon as someone is actually a good bloke and stands on his morals, footy fans lose their fucking minds. Alex is a legend, probably my favourite non Crows player. 👑
Fremantle captain Alex Pearce has refused to back the club’s major sponsor Woodside Energy and urged a vocal group of fans who are in opposition to their multi-million dollar deal to continue applying pressure on the club’s board.

Outrageous comments.
I think it’s worth remembering the next time America wants to send Australians off to die in some foreign war that has nothing to do with us that they will not only not care our soldiers died for them, they will continually insult them after their deaths.
Hegseth on Afghanistan:
I was a captain in Afghanistan, and we would go to the headquarters in Kabul, and there would be 50 flags at the headquarters.
It was a beautiful thing to see 50 different countries contributing to the NATO alliance and the ISAF mission there.
Except there were like maybe five that contributed. It was actually closer to one or two that, by the end, were actually involved in kinetic operations.
In fact, the ISAF patch, we would joke that it meant "I Saw Americans Fighting."
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Over 1100 non-American soldiers from 31 US-allied countries were killed fighting in Afghanistan, approximately 1/3 of the total combat deaths.

If Oscar was on the inside here 4’s would be calling him the next generation of terrorist
But because it’s the other way around it’s also Oscar’s fault apparently

The outcry over the work-from-the-cricket concept is a very, very sad indictment on where we’re at as a society and a stark reminder that we must, for the love of life and sanity, just lighten up a tiny little bit.
Nick, please, under no circumstances, give in to this.

18yo Key Forward, first rounder, huge upside, 3 years left to go on his contract - First rounder minimum.
I mean, if Gold Coast are wanting more than pick 7 for King who is a FREE AGENT, then they shouldnt have a problem with trading for what’s fair value
Sounds like a side deal to me @AFL
Gold Coast walked away confident Schubert was open to moving north after their meeting today. He will meet Damien Hardwick in the next 24 hours. He would also secure a five-year deal at the Suns and have the chance to play as early as next year. He has time to consider a move but Hawthorn is open to that trade, which helps the Suns not match a Ben King deal. The King deal will be lodged soon
