I have never folded to fear or intimidation, but when there are threats and harassment of my family and friends, I have to draw a line. Wendy and I have been in a very public fight for justice not only for Arlene but for change. Wendy had to put out a statement to protect herself and her family from threats and absolutely despicable harassment. Because of a commercial I did. What I do on my own should not reflect on my family or friends. So if you guys wanna come after somebody come after me. Arlene is and will always be a part of my story, and I became a crime victim advocate because of her. We have never navigated this level of hate despite working with Governor Abbott and other politicians, both Republicans and Democrats, for years now. It is sad that anybody would attack Wendy and Armando despite everything they have been through. I have always felt safe to share Arlene’s story, but not anymore. Wendy’s heart is absolutely shattered because of this hatred, to the point that she doesn’t want to fight for Arlene’s Law anymore. That’s so heartbreaking to me. This is America the land of the free. People should be able to have an opinion politically without fear of retaliation or hate. Ask for the harassment to stop of Wendy and Armando this is something I completely did on my own and they do not deserve this.
