Why not just answer the question?
Here’s a real conversation I had with a woman in an elevator today. Woman: “Excuse me, what’s the red flower for? Why is everyone wearing them?” Me: “Are you visiting Canada or do you live here?” Woman: “I live here.” Me: “Where are you from?” Woman: “Kuwait. What’s the flower for?” Me: “Google it.”

Here, let me help. When they play in the NHL, they represent their team, not the nation of Russia.
Deplorable post, Danielle. What about all the Russian’s playing in the NHL? Are they banned from playing in Canada? What about the Russians living in Canada? Shameful, divisive leadership.

Canada will deny entry to any Russian and Belarusian athletes and staff, as long as the war in Ukraine continues, as per Mark Carney "If you're asking specifically about the World Junior's the Russians will not be there" This is despite the Court of Arbitration for Sport saying Russia should be allowed to participate in IIHF tournaments, with the next big tournament the WJC in Alberta this Christmas #cdnpoli

Canada is supposed to be the world’s leading hockey nation and we host World Jrs in less than 60 days which is the first event where Russia is to be reinstated. We had a chance to lead here and stand with Europe for what’s right. Instead - fucking crickets out of Hockey Canada
A story we'll be following today. Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Latvia, and Norway have all announced that they will not compete against Russia in international women's or men's hockey including the World Championships, World Juniors, and U-18 World Championships.

Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Latvia, Germany, and Czechia need to boycott the world championship. The IIHF would be forced to find a way to keep Russia out

When you think of the planning that went into this troll, and then combine that with absolutely FLAWLESS execution, this is arguably the greatest troll in the history of trolling.
Fox: Why are you here this morning? Trump rally attendee: Well, in the late 70s, I was a little too young to go to South America for the Jonestown Massacre. But this is as close as I'll ever get, so that's why I'm here. There's nothing like seeing a cult right up front.

Hey @HockeyCanada, for once in your miserable existence, do the right thing, right now and announce a boycott of any event that Russia or Belarus are permitted to participate in. #IIHF
From TSN broadcaster and colleague Gord Miller, who has worked countless international hockey events in his career, on today's CAS ruling: ``The decision by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to overturn the IIHF’s ban on the participation of Russian and Belarussian teams immediately throws the world of international hockey into complete chaos. Some key issues: -can the IIHF appeal? It’s possible it could go to the Supreme Court of Switzerland , but it’s unlikely the court would overturn a CAS decision, as CAS is considered the “final word” in matters of sport. The IIHF council is meeting Monday to discuss next steps. -will governments grant visas to Russian teams to compete? The Russian Ice Hockey Federation is part of the Russian government, the Canadian government said earlier this year it would not permit Russian national teams to enter the country, unlike individual Russian athletes. -will some federations refuse to host events at which Russian teams are present? There are serious security concerns about the safety of participants and spectators, nations refusing to host is a real possibility. -will there be a boycott? The initial feeling is that individual national federations won’t, but what their national governments do is another matter. Anti-Russian sentiment in Europe is strong. -how much will the IIHF push back? Russia (with the help of former president Rene Fasel) worked hard behind the scenes at the recent congress to engineer the election of pro-Russian candidates to the IIHF council. Blaming this decision on CAS would allow those members to quietly get what they want. Finally, this is a devastating decision for Ukraine in countless ways, not the least of which is that their men’s national team earned promotion to the top division of the upcoming Men’s World Championship as the second place finisher in Division 1A last season. If Russia is back in, that pushes Ukraine out, which is an ethical, political and PR nightmare for the IIHF.”

None of that was the fault of the troops. The poppy honours the fallen, not the politics of the day.
"You need to wear a poppy to honour World War One" no I don't actually that was a dumbfuck war that nearly ripped our country apart with the Conscription Crisis and only anglo morons think that's a proud moment in Canadian history

Man this guy is a terrible spokesman for the company...lol
Cleveland-Cliffs CEO: I bought Stelco because I could not afford anymore having Stelco flooding the market here in the United States to the detriment of my own company. David Cochrane: Am I understanding you correctly there? It was a defensive acquisition?

this crybaby act from the Tkachuk orbit is exhausting. they act like want to play the villain but every time it doesn't go their way it's an international incident. don't wear the smirk during the tribute if you're not gonna still be wearing it after getting pumped 5-1.
“I thought it was a little disgusting that they [Sens Fans] boo’d during when they were giving him [Brady Tkachuk] the ceremony…” - Keith Yandle on @spittinchiclets recapping Brady’s first game back in Ottawa last night #GoSensGo

Replying to @colindpalmer
Probably just priorities. Triage the wounded & get them to treatment. Take care of the dead. Organize aid to the families. Restore order & confidence in the troops. Then explain this to the public. I'm an ex-journo and even I don't think 1st priority is news conferences.

How many people will take down and apologize for their needless speculation over yesterdays incident? How many people guessing the death toll like a sports game will suddenly have nothing to say?
