“Not everyone in Parliament supports Medicare. But I always will.”
Have a read of my opinion piece in The West Australian today:

“Put simply, I am here to fight for the Australian people, not fight with them.
Like any workplace, everyone should go home safe every day.
Therefore, we must not leave communities behind and only focus on politicians.
I aspire for every Australian to be safe.
Safe at work. Safe in their homes. Safe in Northbridge. Safe at places of worship. And safe doing politics.
Attacks on our democracy attack us all.
I believe the best way to make our democracy safe is to make our community safe.
I refuse to accept that violent people get to coerce Australia’s democracy.
Coercion that makes people fearful to volunteer. To scare people from putting their hand up.
This week we draw a line, saying that the violence, the hateful notes delivered to our homes, intimidation of staff and volunteers, written abuse and worse must stop.
Because we must not allow this attack to define who we are as a nation.
And we can’t ignore that the overwhelming majority of our nation are kind, compassionate and caring.
I encourage Australians to shine a light of positivity. Celebrate the good in our democracy, including the ability to disagree well.
Of course tell your politicians when we get it wrong, but also tell us when we get it right.”
AM PATRICK GORMAN AND CAROL BERRY MP - TRANSCRIPT - DOORSTOP - MONDAY, 26 OCTOBER 2026
“I believe that her biggest contributions to this Parliament are not behind her, but ahead of her. And I encourage every Australian, if they can, if they have the capacity, to consider supporting the Save the Children Fund in her name.”

Celebrating the best of the Australian spirit and thanking the volunteers who care for one of Perth’s most special places.
Friends of Kings Park have given their time to protecting our native bushlands for 33 years.
Kings Park is part of what makes Perth so special and we are lucky to have people who are just as special to care for it.
Australians do not want to pay more GST.
We know that some of Angus Taylor’s team back this idea.
And future Liberal Leadership candidates back it too.
Doesn’t matter who suggests it, I oppose an increase in the GST.
Honoured to tell Telethon star Olivia that the Australian government will contribute $6 million towards Telethon 2026.

Larni comes from a long line of hairdressers, from her mum to her aunties. Inspiring her drive to take her passion to the world stage.
“Hairdressing is so much more than working in a salon. It is an industry full of opportunities."
Larni is absolutely right.

“Poor Angus Taylor already had to play second fiddle to Pauline Hanson on the weekend at CPAC, and now he's having to play second fiddle to Josh Frydenberg, who is out there doing one of the most audacious leadership bids from outside the Parliament…”

As a young woman, Edith Cowan was denied access to higher education because of her gender.
Last night, in the heart of our city, Perth officially launched Edith Cowan University City Campus bearing her name.
A fulfillment of her vision that education should be available to all Australians.
$7.5 billion will return into the Australian economy from our investment, but its transformative impact is beyond measure.
It stands as a proud, permanent declaration that knowledge and learning belong to everyone.
I was proud to speak at the official launch last night.
Thank you to everyone who made this possible. The construction teams, the philanthropists, the academic and professional staff and the students who will go on to achieve more for themselves and our nation.
The criticism of Labor’s vision for the NBN came thick and fast.
A “white elephant on a massive scale”.
“Essentially video entertainment system”, they said.
Australians backed better connectivity. And we haven’t looked back.

Spent the afternoon hearing from the next generation of young Australian leaders. (TL;DR: we are in good hands)
We spoke about leadership, the ups and downs of politics, how you stay true to yourself and how ideas turn into real change.
Their optimism for the future gave me energy.
Thank you to all of the participants at the Fogarty Futures Leadership Conference.
