📣 Announcement: The Founder Hour - Final Episode
What started in 2017 as a passion project between friends Patrick Tanahan (Pat) and Nerses Aposhian (Posh) has grown into something far greater than either could have imagined.
Over the past seven years, The Founder Hour has become a platform for sharing the stories of more than 250 incredible founders and recording over 280 episodes filled with lessons, insights, and unforgettable moments.
This journey has been amazing. From two friends with an idea sitting in Pat's garage, we have reached millions of listeners in 185 countries. All we can say is, WOW!
Through countless conversations with some of the greatest business minds, we’ve had the privilege of learning, growing, and connecting with a community that shares our love for entrepreneurship and storytelling.
Today, we’re announcing the end of The Founder Hour podcast—and no, this isn’t one of our infamous April Fool’s jokes! (Where are you, Oprah!?) It’s a bittersweet decision, but we’re proud to close this chapter while still at the top of our game. The stories we’ve shared and the lessons we’ve learned will live on forever and remain accessible on our website (thefounderhour.com), Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you enjoy your podcasts.
We owe an enormous THANK YOU to everyone who made this possible: our incredible guests, the executive assistants who worked with us dozens of times to schedule a podcast, the PR teams (the great ones and even the not-so-great ones), our sponsors, and most importantly, YOU—our listeners. Whether you cheered us on publicly or quietly tuned in every episode, your support has meant the world to us.
While this marks the end of The Founder Hour, it’s not a goodbye—it’s a “see you later.” Who knows what the future holds? For now, we’re grateful for the ride and excited to see where the next adventure takes us.
With gratitude,
Pat & Posh

Very excited to share my conversation with @JGebbia on @TheFounderHour today!
Joe is one-of-a-kind, a relentless optimist who sees the world differently from most.
I enjoyed hearing fun stories from his childhood and his time at @RISD, the impact that Charles and Ray Eames have had on him leading to the creation of the @EamesInstitute, meeting @BChesky and the instant connection they had, how @Airbnb was born, the lessons learned from dealing with constant rejection early on, and what he's up to now with @Samara.

Max Levchin's story begins in Ukraine, where he was raised in a family of scientists who sparked his love for learning.
After fleeing the Chernobyl disaster, his family moved to Crimea. It was there that @MLevchin discovered programming, teaching himself to code on paper without a computer.
In 1991, Max's family moved to Chicago, where he enrolled at @UofIllinois. This was a turning point in his life. Immersed in the early days of the internet, Max eventually made his way to Silicon Valley. A chance encounter with @PeterThiel at Stanford led to the creation of @PayPal, originally a secure platform for encrypted data storage and transfer. It quickly evolved into a revolutionary online payment system.
In today's episode of @TheFounderHour, Max recounts the early challenges PayPal faced, from tackling document encryption to combating fraud. His journey didn't end there; he went on to found Slide and @Affirm, focused on providing fair financial products.
Throughout our conversation, Max shares his philosophy of HVF—hard, valuable, and fun—and how it guides him in building impactful companies.
We also dive into Max’s thoughts on the future of technology, including the potential of #AI and the evolving #fintech landscape.

Joe Kudla, founder and CEO of @VuoriClothing, has a story that's far from ordinary. From fashion and modeling in Italy to working in accounting, Joe's journey has been quite diverse. After facing challenges, including two failed clothing ventures, he found his calling when a chance encounter with a woman predicted his future success.
Around this time, Joe started practicing yoga and saw a gap in the market for versatile men's #activewear. This led to the creation of #Vuori, a brand known for premium apparel inspired by the active California lifestyle. With significant milestones like a $45 million investment from @NorwestVP in 2019 and a $400 million investment from @SoftBank in 2021, Vuori's valuation soared to $4 billion.
Joe's story is not just about numbers; it's about his values of clarity, well-being, and community. He believes in the power of the mind and that "product is everything."
Tune in to the latest episode of @TheFounderHour to hear more about Joe's journey and the vision behind Vuori.

This time last year, I tried @nnakarestaurant for the first time and was blown away by the #kaiseki experience.

Some of the topics we cover are:
👩🍳 What inspired her culinary career
✨ Where she draws inspiration from
🥒 Her process for creating new dishes
🍽️ Traditional vs. modern kaiseki
🏃♀️ Being on offense vs. defense
👋 Why she will close n/naka one day
