Today, we published our work on the pure kinetic inductance coupling between generalized flux qubits and their readout modes (doi.org/10.1063/5.0218361). This type of coupling offers an additional tuning knob independent of the capacitance matrix!
Congrats to @stijndegraaf and @SophiaHXue1 on demonstrating a mid-circuit erasure check on a dual-rail cavity qubit (arxiv.org/abs/2406.14621)! Another important ingredient for the realization of a dual-rail quantum processor. More to come!
Very excited to share our results on the coherence characterization of a dual-rail cavity qubit! My colleague John Garmon and I will be giving back-to-back presentations on Thursday morning (S47.00008/9).
AND: granular aluminum resonators with unprecedented Qi (N47.00007/8).
Happy and proud to announce that our paper on the "Dual-rail encoding with superconducting cavities" is now published in PNAS (pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pnas.22…)
Attending the SQA conference in Munich #SQAConf2023 It was a pleasure talking about erasure conversion in our dual-rail encoding with superconducting cavities. Check out the youtube channel youtube.com/@sqaconference
Together with our friends from quantum circuits, we have demonstrated a superconducting dual-rail cavity qubit with erasure-detected logical measurements reaching logical misassignment errors of 10^-4 (arxiv.org/abs/2307.03169).

RB on a cQED dual rail qubit. Single qubits gates w more than three 9s, and nearly four 9s after error detection: arxiv.org/abs/2303.00959. Congrats to @luy100 @AniketMaiti96 @JWO_Garmon @JahanClaes @GanjamSuhas and all coauthors. And of course @Yale_QI
In our most recent article, we report on the observation of higher harmonics in the Josephson effect of commonly used aluminum tunnel junctions beyond the celebrated sinusoidal current-phase relation.
