Mitsuki was created by Orochimaru, but one of the most interesting parts of his character is that he was never meant to simply follow someone else’s path forever. For a long time, he saw Boruto as his Sun. Boruto gave him someone to look up to and helped him understand what it meant to choose his own direction. But Omnipotence changed everything. Mitsuki’s memories were altered, and the person he once considered his closest friend became someone he believed he had to kill. Think about how disturbing that is. Mitsuki wasn’t simply given false information about Boruto. His entire understanding of their relationship was turned upside down. And yet, Mitsuki’s story has always been about discovering who he is beyond the purpose for which he was created.
