❤️ A College Station mother is going through unimaginable heartbreak, and her family could really use our community’s support right now. Last week, 15-year-old Aiyana McCain, a student at College Station High School, passed away. Her death has left family, friends, classmates, and so many others heartbroken. 💔 Aiyana’s mother, Arelieen Mims, was pregnant at the time. According to the family, amid the heartbreak and stress of losing her daughter, Arelieen went into labor early and gave birth prematurely to another baby girl. Now, this mom is grieving the loss of one daughter while caring for her newborn and trying to keep her family together. ❤️ This is where our community can help. The family has already covered Aiyana’s funeral and celebration-of-life expenses. This fundraiser is specifically meant to help Arelieen with living expenses while she's unable to work, caring for her newborn, and making arrangements so Aiyana’s siblings can all be together during this incredibly difficult time.
