Last week to see @GarthIvanPhoto's exhibition in two halves - The Artists & Craftsmen of Inverclyde / The Liturgy of the Moons. Read this fantastic write up from @PaulEnglishhack On display until 15 February | FREE Admission
"There has been an uptick in creative spaces appearing in disused buildings. We’ve become part of that, taking on old draughty spaces which are given over to creative endeavours much like the old loft spaces of Brooklyn a few generations ago in New York. I genuinely don’t think it’s hyperbole to say that.” New Yorkian photographer @GarthIvanPhoto has an exhibiton @thebeaconarts featuring Inverclyde creatives. I spoke to him for @heraldscotland heraldscotland.com/life_styl…

This is why I’ll be donating a percentage of money from mentoring sessions in January to Parkinson’s UK. Seeing Justin Currie handle the disease with such class and honesty is quite extraordinary. Nice work from Paul here ❤️👏
"I used to think about the future a lot. It’s good getting rid of all that and seeing the small victories in getting through every day. Because the future is quite scary.” More from my recent interview with Del Amitri's Justin Currie, here, in @heraldscotland. Looking forward to catching them tonight, back @TheBarrowlands for Christmas. heraldscotland.com/news/2475…

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of the remarkable Myra McFadyen. We want to respectfully acknowledge her extraordinary talent and the vital contribution she made to eight NTS productions, over the years, from the launch event Home in 2006 onwards.

What a forlorn sight to see. Scotland's very last patch of snow from the previous winter about to expire, on Aonach Beag near Ben Nevis. We weren't sure if this or Sphinx was going to be last to disappear, so now it's settled. In any event it doesn't matter. Scotland is about to be completely snow-free for the third consecutive year. It used to be the case, not so long ago, that one year with now snow was unusual. Two consecutive years would have been unprecedented. Three years is, in my view, very much into the realms of a fundamental change in our weather systems. 📷Colin Hutt
