This afternoon, Pavee Mothers, Traveller Brighter Beginnings and the Pave Point Roma Programme spoke at the 4th Annual Quality and Safety Conference, hosted by the HSE National Women and Infants Health Programme (@NWIHP).
A presentation from Anne Waithira Burke (@AkiDwA ยท Migrant Women's Health Coord) was particularly impactful spelling out the barriers in accessing healthcare that ethnic minority women face & the constitutive influence that social determinants of health have on health outcomes.
Pavee Point, with co-host Assembly, invites you to 'Contentious Spaces': a panel discussion where Traveller creatives and artists talk about belonging, creativity and public space.

The workshop was led by David Joyce (Pavee Point Co-ordinator for Further & Higher Education) and provided for productive conversations and experience sharing.

This morning, Pavee Point are delighted to be delivering an information session on Traveller and Roma culture and history to a group of students from the College of Social and Legal Studies in Prague.
Earlier this week we hosted a group of GPs from the Irish College of GPs (@ICGPnews) for an anti-racism and cultural awareness session, equipping them with better understandings of the culture & history of Travellers & Roma, & how racism operates and impacts on Travellers & Roma.
