I started this page from nothing a year ago in November, so I'm going to toot my own horn with this post. Not even two days after I posted my photo of the encampment by MOPOP, it's made international news. Granted, it's a British tabloid, and they attributed it to "social media." But hey, I'll take it. It's cool to see. It will be interesting to see if Harrell’s people get wind of this story. I'm sure they are aware of the camp, but now that the story is getting out there, maybe we'll actually seem them get embarrassed into taking action and clearing the camp. The story also delves deeper into Katie Wilson's personal history with why she dropped out of school, and why her father sends her money: "Currently, her husband does not have a paying job. That means the couple's household income is below what would be considered enough money to support themselves and their child in Seattle. 'It just speaks to how expensive and unaffordable it is, right?' she told KUOW." Well, yes, it's unaffordable because your husband doesn't work! And yet you still send your kid to expensive day care. Make it make sense. And for some reason, the Daily Maily decided to include two minutes of footage from Miller Playfield in Capitol Hill from 2021 when it had a huge encampment there. It's actually worth viewing if you want a reminder of just how bad things were in the city a few years ago. Dozens of tents surrounded the park, and it got so dangerous that they had to cancel children's camps. Eventually it got swept. Soon enough we'll find out how Katie deals with it if it returns. tinyurl.com/rzrh57su

Oh dear. Martha Stewart is in trouble again. If only she had seen the educational graphic I posted yesterday about not offending people's tender sensibilities on Halloween, all of this could have been avoided. But no, Martha went and engaged in cultural appropriation of our precious houseless neighbors. She must have realized she erred, because she tried to delete her IG post about it. But the internet is forever. She claims her costume was meant to raise "awareness." Raise your hand if you believe her. Yeah, me neither. tinyurl.com/cx2mdmxa

Leftists are the most insufferable people in the world. Do they have to ruin everything? Anyway, Happy Halloween! Wait, is it still okay to say that?

This Portlandia skit from 14 years ago is literally where we are today in the raging debate over I-638. It perfectly highlights what a bunch of gaslighting clowns and weirdos the opponents are. youtu.be/e9r2o5ZnSHo?is=8Ism…

A friend I've known for quite a few years and who is just as fed up with the homeless B.S. as I am just sent me this photo. Vagrants left their crap all around the ballot dropbox by The Crown Hill Safeway. You can see one of them doing the fenty fold on the bench, and to the right there's at least one tent. Since he had his toddler with him he didn't feel safe dropping off his ballot there. What follows is a lightly edited version of my interaction with him: (Friend): This gives me so much confidence in the voting drop box A picture says a 1000 words I’m not dropping ballots there Like wtf (Peak Seattle): Can I share that Can I use your text?I won't credit you if you wanna stay anonymous (Friend) Anon and yes Ballard Dropbox by Safeway (PS): Shocker Why would they have one there , though there's one just a few blocks away by the ballard commons Oh , is this the safeway on 85th? Thats Crown Hill (Friend): Yes (PS): Thanks By the way, the one by the Ballard library and the Commons is fine. You'll see vagrants but you probably won't see their crap all over it (Friend): I felt intimidated for sure As in Ballot wasn’t safe (PS): I guarantee if you post that on Nextdoor and you say you felt intimidated, some karen will get on her and tell you just to ask them politely to move (Friend): Not with my son (PS): Are those tents on the right? How many would you say (Friend): I’ve seen 1-2 over there throughout the last few weeks There’s a whole encampment convoy that shuffles on the corner there into the Safeway extended parking lot by the gas station (See screenshot) (PS) That Safeway has been a constant source of this crap for years. On Mary Ave just on the east side of the store , there's been huge encampments , and they've set trees and RVs on fire, right by some nice single family homes. Where I was talking about was mostly a block or two north of there , just south of eighty fifth , but yeah , they hang out down there too

I first glanced at this obviously AI generated slop from someone who goes by the name of Brooklyn Phoenix and thought, "Okay, this mostly seems like left-wing babble, but it's got a few reasonable and moderate positions in it." So I read on. The art is entitled, "Solving Washington's Homeless Problem." On the left hand side, it starts out highlighting the problem with, "The Current Reality." Then in the middle, which is the meat of the post, it offers "A Comprehensive Solution Plan." For example, "#7 Community Safety & Clean Neighborhoods" offers the moderate solution of "Move encampments off streets and public places." OK, I like that. But then it's very next solution is, "More outreach teams instead of criminalization." That's a left wing position. The first item in "#6 Harm Reduction and Public Health" is "Safe use supplies." Hard pass. And at the top left, it declares that "Housing Is A Human Right." Put all that together and it's obvious that this guy is a leftist with an agenda. I checked his post activity, and found he's been posting a whole bunch of very similar themed artwork with various left wing political stances. You can view all 8 of those in the comments. According to his Facebook account, it turns out he's from Flatbush, on the other side of the country. I'm not sure what he's doing here on a Seattle Nextdoor account, but he's posted several responses in the thread. Somehow I doubt the usual leftists and Karen's in ND will call him out on any of this.

Oh fuck off, Peter. Peter is concern trolling on Nextdoor about people posting photos of our "vulnerable" vagrants and addicts without their consent. Yeah, I'm sure the street junkies are very concerned about being "shamed" on the internet, when they spend every day getting high and passing out in public places in full view of everyone. Nevermind the fact that there is no legal right to privacy in a public space. He doesn't care that vagrants sprawl all over our parks and sidewalks and leave trash everywhere. No, he's upset that some posted a photo of them doing that. Nearly everyone who responded agreed with Peter, saying just because photographing addicts is legal, it doesn't make it right. Why do I get the feeling these same people have no problem with strangers engaging in public nudity in front of children, justifying it by saying it's legal? Peter starts his post saying he doesn't have an issue with it if they're commiting a crime. Yet on the same day he posted that, he went after Andrea Suarez for posting photos of addicts at 12th and Jackson. What does Peter think happens there on a daily basis? They are all commiting crime. Peter is just a typical progressive trying to whitewash the truth. How do I know he's a progressive? He admonishes people to "do better." That's the call sign of progressive dipshits. He ends his screed with this: "The lives of these people are very hard and posting their faces online does not make them better." It's not about making them better or shaming them, Peter. Its about waking people up to the reality of what's happening and shaming politicians into taking meaningful action.

Jonathan Choe posted the latest cringe inducing video from senate majority leader Jamie Pedersen talking about the income tax, I-645. There's a moment towards the end of the video where Peterson claims to be doing some "fact-checking:" But look what this weasel did. He deliberately Googled a misleading question: "Are income taxes property taxes?" He got the answer he was looking for, and it goes without saying he Googled this previouly before doing it for the camera. It's intellectually dishonest and misleading, because we all know that property taxes tax your estate property and tangible, physical assets such as vehicles or business equipment. But when you phrase the question properly for the purposes of taxation here in WA and ask Google, "Is income considered to be property in Washington state," you get a very different answer. And the answer is YES. The question that goes unanswered is, who is the bigger weasel? Jamie Pedersen, or Bob Ferguson?
NEW: WA Senate Majority Leader Jamie Pedersen with his latest video debacle. That’s two minutes of my life I’m not getting back. Vote *Yes* on I-645.

Yep, the way to win on I-645 is not by arguing over the fact that you cant cut funding for programs when collections don't start until 2029. The way to win it is by getting people to understand it's an income tax. So don't do what the left wants you to do and call it the "Millionaire's Tax." We need to drum it into the undecided voters' heads that it is an INCOME tax, and that it will come for all of them. That's how we win this thing.
