I've been full time Solana for almost 4 years now. Chose to be here and to stay here for reasons that are still valid.
But Geckos and I have experienced our fair share of disappointments along the way. And I'm not just talking about FTX, 0% royalties, or marketplaces trying to trans collectibles into shitcoins.
(All cases driven by unbridled greed, which ironically leads to poorer outcomes for the greedy entity itself. How is volume looking these days at FTX? Or the marketplaces pushing perverse incentives for that matter?)
Short term thinking leads to short term results.
But I digress. What surprised me more was the "crabs in a bucket" mentality from many of my peers. I get it, it's a tough market.
But it will ALWAYS be a tough market for projects that go out of their way to try to drag hard working teams down. Just because Geckos excel at certain things does not take anything away from what other projects are doing.
I have tried to support all the major NFT projects over the years. No one is obligated to reciprocate, but it means a lot when you do.
S/o to Daze for being one of the rare ones who actively supports other projects in the space. We notice. Give me the chance and I'll burn/soulbind all my BASC assets forever.
