Mentor registration for the tnAchieves class of 2027 is open now. On the newest episode of At Scale, our team traces the mentor program from its earliest days in 2008, when 165 volunteers in Knox County worked with fewer than 500 students, to the statewide model it has become: mentor support available to nearly 65,000 students a year, an opt-in system that connects mentors with students who are asking for help, and a newer workforce mentoring track for students moving from college into their careers. The ask hasn't changed much. One hour a month. A phone call, a text, an email. Someone in a student's community who shows up, follows through, and reminds them what's next. Our goal is 5,000 mentors by November 20, so every student who wants a mentor has one. Listen to the full episode: tnAchieves.org/news/mentors Register to become a mentor: tnAchieves.org/mentors
