We join @FairfaxNAACP in condeming FCPD for unilateral release of foot pursuit policy despite promises to collaborate w/ One Fairfax Roundtable. Worse, the policy requires officers to engage in this inherently dangerous practice no matter how small the offense. Harmful to all.

We stand w/ @VA_Immigrants & @ACLUVA in opposing @GovernorVA Exec Order deputizing VA prison guards/state police as ICE agents. The xenophobic targeting of hard-working immigrants creates fear and will make us all less safe. Crime is lower when police don't cooperate w/ ICE.
Trump promised to prioritize the “worst first” when it comes to ICE arrests/deportations, but 41% of the 4,422 total new detainees in 1st 2 weeks of Feb had no convictions or even pending charges. Compare to Biden's FY 2024, where it was 28%, tho still too high @VA_Immigrants
