25 years ago now, there was a place I knew I needed to be.
I traveled down from Massachusetts, alone and broke, w a tent for the infield, to the 2001 Pepsi 400 and my first Nascar race outside of NHMS.
The energy and tears in this moment, (likely the greatest moment in Nascar) is something that could never be replicated, and it happened right in front of me.
Best decision I've ever made, one of my best memories and I've been going back to do Speedweeks infield ever since. After going 18 of the last 25yrs, I have worked my way to a choice campsite off T4 and established a home and family for the 3rd week of Feb every year.
And it started right here...

My first and last visit to a @sonicdrivein . Camera makes this looks A LOT better than it was. Tiny crumbs of fries, hard as a rock and over cooked. The jalapeño bites were greasy and over cooked.
Just a disaster of a meal. Do not recommend.
Totally gross. Can't believe they consider these French fries. Zoom in.

As good as it gets. This track rocks. 3 last lap passes Thurs night, Fri night, Sat night. Unreal. @FlorenceSpdwy
Pierce stalking Sheppard and gets him, then Rice decides he wants in. Classic Saturday night, dirt track, late model racing. @FlorenceSpdwy
This was eventful. Took about 20mins to get him out of the trees and back up on to the wall. He grabbed a back up and made his next Heat race and advanced to the Main.
If you ever wondered what watching an Indy race is like.
This is the most optimal area to view the race... and its just okay. I see this as a track that most people go once, and thats why the attendance is so thin.
The real cause..
Don't forget it's the geoengineering programs that are causing the catastrophic destruction of our earth, spraying all life with toxic chemicals!
Not the made-up climate crisis that they have been pushing for decades.. it's all about control, nothing benevolent
✅️ another track Midwest track. Great racing at Angola tonight.
3/8ths, sunsets, and steep banks. @SpeedwayAngola
Super special moment to catch. The 18 flag was money. @dennyhamlin was the right guy for the job., especially the next one. @MISpeedway
