Your kid isn't a picky eater. Your kid is a marketed eater.
Jamie Oliver nails it here. In Tuscany, 4-year-olds tear apart charcoal-grilled pigeon on polenta with artichokes. In America and England, grown men won't touch a vegetable.
Nobody is born genetically wired for beige food. Familiarity is manufactured.
The part that should make every parent angry: he says his campaign proved London's bus-stop ads targeted kids on the school run. Sweets and junk food while they waited. Cars and holidays within 10 minutes of them boarding.
That's not advertising. That's hunting.
The good news: if taste can be trained toward nuggets, it can be trained back.

🇮🇹🤯 We probably should’ve seen this coming…
Michael Kayode was just 19-years-old when he completely shut down Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, one of the best wingers in the world.
Three years later, he’s producing performances like tonight for Italy. 💎🌟
We need to have a conversation about Michael Kayode. The 22-year-old Brentford defender is quickly becoming one of Europe’s most exciting right-backs, and his performance for Italy against Turkey tonight was more evidence of that.
▪️ 1 goal
▪️ 3/3 shots on target
▪️ 0.82 xG
▪️ 37/40 passes completed (93%)
▪️ 1 chance created
▪️ 0.88 xG + xA
▪️ 5 defensive contributions
▪️ 8.1 rating
And he’s doing this on his senior Italy debut. What a night for Kayode, and what a night for Italy as they win 4-1 in Turkey. 🌟🇮🇹
