Ecstatic to finally announce that my translation of Tor Ulven’s “Consumption: Prose Pieces” will be coming out on Wakefield Press early next year.
This is the beginning of my commitment to seeing his ten other books translated.

My ALTA49 haul. Thanks @Powells, @motherfoucaults, Word Virus and Annie Bloom’s Books—everyone check them out if you’re in Portland!
The size of my lil ALTA book haul is misproportioned to my huge heart after seeing all my lovely translators buddies.

Amen! "[A] universal story of modernity and its discontents ... prescient about the 'language forms' that digital capitalism requires – the data and information, the 'demonic and inhuman' scientism, the fear of allegory." theguardian.com/books/2026/o…

A lugubrious novel about a brooding misanthrope, published 27 years ago, deemed untranslatable (David M. Smith said “hold my beer”), and written by an alleged Norwegian “madman”? Sure, pile it on. This is my kind of thing!

Knausgård said it couldn't be translated. Somebody had to try, anyway! My translation of Thure Erik Lund’s sprawling, unholy mess of a novel is upon us. Thanks to Thure Erik Lund, NORLA, @andothertweets, @nordicnovellas and so many others for paving the way.
Gettin’ GIDDY about @LitTranslate ALTA 49 now that I’m flying to Portland. Cant wait to (re)convene with translation buddies new and old.

If you feel so inclined, you can spot me and the other translators in this intro video. I was reporting from my lovely Ulvik fjord
