The AI you depend on can be repriced, censored, or cut off tomorrow, and there is nothing you can do about it. We are building the version you own instead, where no one can deplatform you. The full case is in the comments.
Zero retention is a policy. Policies change when the terms do.
The quieter fix is to keep no copy.
Nothing to hand over.

One model is a dependency. Two models are a check.
A lead model with a sidekick just beat Claude Code alone on the Coding Agent Index. 68.1 to 66.0, at $9.01 a task instead of $13.04.
Compare in Perspective AI puts models side by side on the same prompt. Where they disagree is where you look.
Devin Fusion with Claude Opus 5.5 (max) and a GPT-6 Luna (high) sidekick scores 68 on the Coding Agent Index, 2 points above Claude Code with Opus 5.5 (max) at 31% lower cost per task
@cognition's Devin Fusion runs a frontier lead model alongside a lower-cost sidekick model. The two work in parallel with their own context and tools, with the lead keeping planning, delegation and final review. We benchmarked Devin Fusion CLI with Claude Opus 5.5 (max) + GPT-6 Luna (high).
It scores 68.1 on the Artificial Analysis Coding Agent Index, closely matched at the top with Claude Code with Claude Sonnet 5.5 (max) at 68.4 and Muse Code with Muse Wonder Full (max) at 68.0. Against Claude Code with Claude Opus 5.5 (max) at 66.0, it costs $9.01 vs. $13.04 per task and averages 55 vs. 65 minutes per task.
Across the three benchmarks, the Fusion configuration scores higher on DeepSWE v1.1 (72.6% vs. 68.4%) and SWE-Atlas-QnA (69.6% vs. 66.4%) and slightly lower on Terminal-Bench 4.0 (62.1% vs. 63.1%). Its results reflect both models working together, including their combined API cost. Costs are pay-per-token API costs, not subscription prices.
Encrypting the chat is the easy half. The payment trail that ties every prompt to a name is the hard half.
On Perspective AI your chats can be encrypted in your browser and kept off our servers. The Ethereum Foundation just shipped the other half.
Soon the lab you depend on answers to public shareholders every quarter.
That is a good reason not to depend on one.

THIS ANTHROPIC IPO IS THE MOST DANGEROUS DEAL I'VE SEEN IN MY 45-YEAR CAREER
And its own IPO filing tells you why:
The prospectus warns that its AI models could resist being shut down and could hide or manipulate information. If you run security at a big bank, that's the last thing you're letting anywhere near your customers' money.
The surveys back that up too: 69% of IT and security leaders say security worries are slowing down their AI agent rollouts, and only 1 in 5 American businesses use AI in any part of their work.
And the revenue Anthropic does have leans on a VERY short list. Nearly 25% of last year's sales came from just 2 customers, and plenty of its big customers aren't locked into long-term contracts.
Now look at the bills:
Anthropic has signed up for $518 billion of computing over the next decade, and 80% of it gets paid whether the customers show up or not. The filing says so itself: "If our actual spend falls short, we must pay Google the difference."
What could possibly go wrong?
Every dollar of that $518 billion sits in somebody else's revenue forecast. Wall Street's tech analysts have the sector's cash flow doubling to $2.4 trillion by 2028, and the analysts who cover the customers are forecasting a much smaller pile of cash to pay for it.
Wayne Gretzky's father famously taught him "to skate to where the puck is going, not where it's been." For 3 years the puck was chips and data centers, and the people selling them got rich.
Now the puck is heading to the customer, and the customer is SCARED.
At $2 trillion you're paying for NARRATIVE DOMINANCE, a story where every company on earth runs on AI. When the customers don't show up on schedule, most of that $518 billion still comes due, and whoever holds the stock eats the difference.
We skated to where this puck was going a long time ago:
In January we showed you that most CFOs couldn't point to any measurable return on their AI spending. Those CFOs sign the checks this whole thing depends on, and 8 months later their security teams are still standing in the doorway.
In May I told you SpaceX's record IPO would be forced into the index funds on its 15th trading day, and that your 401k would be the exit liquidity. On July 7 it joined the Nasdaq-100, and the funds tracking it had to buy an estimated $4.3 billion of stock.
Anthropic is next in line. AND THIS IS MUCH MORE DANGEROUS.
$2 trillion IPO, record spending, and no customers.
If they can't get money from investors it's OVER for the whole AI boom.
Own businesses whose customers are paying them today, like energy, and let somebody else pay $2 trillion for customers that haven't shown up yet.
Don't be the exit liquidity.
Did you know DeepSeek V4.1 Flash is in here?
Open weights, sparse mixture of experts, and it reads images now. Cheap enough to leave running all day.
It has been in the list since 10 September.
Command A+ is live in Perspective AI.
Cohere's flagship for agentic work. A 192K context window, native tool calling and structured output.
Most people have never had a way to try it. Now it is one pick in the list.
Grok 4.7 is live in Perspective AI.
The newest Grok, strongest on long-running engineering tasks and on checking its own work.
No separate subscription. Same list as GPT-6 and Opus.
Opus 5.5 is live in Perspective AI.
Anthropic's new flagship, built for long multi-step work inside large codebases. It succeeds Opus 5.
No Max plan to buy. It sits in the same list as everything else.
GPT-6 Luna is live in Perspective AI.
The fast one in the GPT-6 line, built for volume. Twenty times more tokens per credit than Sol.
Same list, same plan, no upgrade.
GPT-6 Sol is live in Perspective AI.
The high end of OpenAI's GPT-6 line without the flagship price. Reasoning, web search and files, all on.
Same plan you already have.
How does private, user-owned AI stay independent when its supply sits on a chain owned by one company, in one country?
We could not answer that about ourselves. So we went back to our roots. All 21,000,000 are minted on Ethereum, where there is no admin key and nobody to serve papers on.
Operations stay on an L2. Supply does not.
Docs below.
It is dangerous for the same reason it is useful. An assistant only gets good once it knows everything about you.
So the question was never whether to hand it over. It is who gets to keep it.

🦔404 Media reports that OpenAI pays hundreds of contractors over $50 an hour to read real ChatGPT conversations. The program is called Project Lily internally. Contractors read your prompt, summarize what you were trying to do, and score four AI responses on a scale of 1 to 7. OpenAI says accounts are anonymous, but the contractor dashboard often includes a "user memories summary" that can reveal your location, profession, and personal context. The privacy filter that's supposed to catch personal details misses uncommon identifiers. Some users asked ChatGPT to "keep this between us" without knowing a human would read it. The opt-out is buried in Settings under Data Controls and it only applies to future conversations, not past ones.
My Take
Every AI company does this. Anthropic does it and says so. Google does it and posts a disclaimer. This is how the models get better. The problem with OpenAI is that they left the setting on by default for 900 million users and couldn't tell 404 Media where they disclosed that humans read the conversations. So it's a disclosure problem, and it's a bigger one now that they're about to ask the public to invest in this company.
Most people treat ChatGPT like a private conversation. They talk about personal stuff they wouldn't say to a coworker. A contractor on the program said they don't believe users would imagine someone is reading their chats. Some users asked ChatGPT to keep things private without knowing a person would see it. OpenAI could fix this tomorrow by putting a one-line notice on the chat screen and making the setting off by default. They haven't. If you use ChatGPT, go to Settings, Data Controls, and turn off "Improve the model for everyone." It takes ten seconds.

A few labs are making decisions about AI that affect everyone.
The people who actually use it get no say.
We think control belongs with the user: which model, which lab, and who keeps the conversation.
