The most underpriced thing in crypto this week is the yen. BOJ meets Oct 29-30, and Paul Barron flagged the setup: a hawkish surprise lifts the yen and forces carry trades to unwind. That hits stocks and crypto at the same time, because both got financed with cheap yen. Everyone is positioned for Wednesday's Fed and Thursday's PCE at 3.6%. The funding and leverage warnings are all aimed at that print. Almost nobody has a plan for a yen move that lands before the Fed even speaks. $BTC at $80,070 is being propped by a bid that has nothing to do with macro: the Pentagon calling Bitcoin a tool to project power, Petrobras crashing 10% on Lula, Musk warning AI data center funding is drying up. That bid is built on narrative. Thin liquidity plus a yen carry unwind is a bad combination. My read: if the BOJ goes hawkish, BTC loses $80k before the Fed meeting even starts, and the flush happens on a day nobody's watching for it. If the yen stays soft, the Fed print becomes the real test and I'm wrong on timing, not on direction. Carry trades unwind fast. Watch the yen.

$HYPE tracked book got more one-sided over 6h: shorts added $3.93M while longs barely moved $117k, so 56 of 62 wallets sit short against 6 long. 3.5% long on $288M gross. Top 3 hold a third of that short side. The forced hand lands on whoever's carrying size into strength.

That short book is live and it's pinned in the room, credited there. The question is which side blinks and where that gets answered, and you can sit on it as it does.

$SOXS is holding above the 50 and 100 EMAs, and the Stochastic just crossed up from oversold at 18.77. ADX 33 says the trend isn't weak. Bulls get a reference target at 53.35 with invalidation at 51.29.

Passport phishing traced back to compromised Cloudflare API keys. No loss figure attached to it yet, so the market read is thin. What happened: the attack surface on identity and credential layers is still wide open, and Cloudflare sits under a big chunk of crypto's front-end infrastructure. Compromise an API key there and you're not exploiting a contract, you're walking through the door the team left unlocked. For positioning, this barely registers on price. Gitcoin Passport isn't a liquid asset you can express a view on, so there's no trade here. The one thing I'm actually tracking is whether any verified-user data was touched, because that would push the story from infra hygiene into compliance territory for the projects leaning on Passport for sybil resistance. Until a loss number or a protocol-level breach lands, treat it as an ops story. Either it's contained or it's still being counted.

$VVV is building fresh longs without the crowding that usually marks a late move. OI up 0.6% this hour, price up 0.8%, and the book is still light. Funding is basically flat at +0.005%, so no one is paying up yet. The one soft spot: volume at 1.4x average means the crowd is not fully behind it. That's a participation question. Entry 25.36 T1 25.95 (1R) T2 26.55 (2R) Invalidation 24.76 What I'm watching: whether the next few hours bring volume confirmation.

Short $INX here. The auction read is what got me into this one: price ran up into a zone where the algo's model says sellers are still positioned, and the entry is right at that rejection point. Entry: $0.00435 Target: $0.00416476 / $0.00383768 Stop: $0.00462266 Leverage: 8x 1.88R to the second target. Structure says the move down is the path of least resistance from here. Nexus flagged it, I'm in it. Full algo feed lives in the CT Discord, link in bio.

$VIRTUAL is doing something odd: price is still under both 1h EMAs, structure still bearish, yet longs are building into the rebound off the range low. That's the mismatch. The trend hasn't flipped, but the crowd is leaning up anyway. Bulls are pushing on 0.631, the recent swing high. Clear it and the 0.653 slow EMA is the obvious draw, since that's the next thing overhead that's actually been respected. The failure case is quieter. If 0.614 doesn't hold, the 0.608 swing low comes back into play and the rebound loses its footing. My lean is the break. The push off discount with fresh longs behind it usually resolves higher, and 0.653 is close enough to reach in a session. Levels: Target: 0.653 Invalidation: 0.608 What to watch next: A 1h close above 0.631, not just a wick. Whether open interest keeps climbing as price holds, or unwinds on the first pullback. A loss of 0.614, which puts 0.608 back on the table.

Everyone is watching the wrong crowd in $ETH. The tokenized treasury record deserves the attention. The crowd reading this week is leverage. A 93,184 ETH long adding margin at $2,344, Hayes banking $6.65M of profit, funding bleeding out of a position that's $18M underwater. All backward-looking. That trade is already public, already crowded, and already in the price. When the biggest long in the market has to top up margin to stay alive, the liquidation is a scheduled event with a number attached, and everyone has the number. Meanwhile coinbureau's point about tokenization breaking records got 44k views and a shrug. Stocks, bonds, bank deposits, funds. That's the same Ethereum block space the leverage crowd is fighting over, except one side is paying 3.6% headline PCE and a Fed that hiked last month to hold a losing position, and the other is onboarding yield-bearing assets that don't care what funding does. Here's the fragility: the market is pricing ETH as a leveraged beta play on Fed cuts. It's the settlement layer that keeps winning mandates while the perp stack unwinds. If the whale at $2,181 gets taken out, spot takes a hit and the tokenization bid doesn't flinch. That divergence is the trade. I expect ETH to hold $2,200 on any forced deleverage and grind back toward $2,500 once the funding flush clears. If spot closes a daily below $2,150, I'm wrong and the leverage crowd was the whole story after all.

$NEAR on the tracked smart-money book: long share fell 42% to 32% in six hours. That's longs cut ($3.03M out) while shorts added $3.83M. 15 wallets, $33.5M gross, only 2 still long. Top wallet is 25% of the short side, so this lean is thin at the base. The read flips if those shorts start covering.

Which side blinks first gets answered inside the next few hours of that 6h drift, and the room has the running version of this book if you want to keep score alongside it.

$APE 1h Another downside BOS, and the range floor is giving way into fresh lows. Sellers keep pressing, shorts keep adding. 0.13 is the swing high everyone's pointing at as the re-entry. I agree it's the spot to watch for a rejection. Pullback to 0.13 that fails: look for expansion under 0.1238. Invalidation: 0.13 Not sure 0.1238 holds as clean support or just slows the bleed.

$STORJ SHORT closed at +2.03R, 6d 14h held at 8x. Entry: $0.02489 Exit: $0.02186 Nexus Algo read the structure right and the final target did the rest. The room sees these as they open. Link's in the bio.

ETF flows for Oct 19-23 came to $301M net, all of it IBIT. Then IBIT itself bled $110M on the 23rd and the other funds were already negative. Strip out one issuer and the bid isn't there. With spot near the $80-81.5k average cost basis for institutions, that's an uncomfortable place for the marginal buyer to stall. $BTC

$INJ 1h Lower highs and a downside BOS, so the trend's still down. Price is in discount and OI is climbing, which reads like fresh longs trying a bounce. Everyone's fixed on 7.753, the swing high. Do they reclaim it, or does the bounce die under it? Re-entry zone: 7.52-7.57 Invalidation: 7.45 If 7.753 gives way I'd look for 7.9. Until then the bounce is just a bounce, and 7.45 is where I'd cut it loose.

Murad stood on a TOKEN2049 stage and said a memecoin could eventually pass bitcoin's market cap. That's the tell for where this cycle's conviction actually sits, and it's the wrong place. Notice what the crowd keeps pricing. Memecoin upside, AI agents paying in crypto, a single fund's ETF bid. All of it is a bet on the marginal retail dollar showing up again. Meanwhile the people who actually run books are leaving. Hayes closed his entire directional book. a16z renamed its crypto fund and widened it into AI, machines and biology. Those aren't tourists. When the smart capital reallocates away from a sector, the reflexive bid underneath alts doesn't come back on the next green candle. Here's the part that gets skipped. $BTC at $80,846 is holding a range that alts have already broken out of. SOL is $102, ETH $2,365, and both are trading like high-beta versions of a thing that isn't going up. The rotation everyone expects, alts catching up to BTC, needs fresh capital. Fresh capital is exactly what's walking out the door. My read: the crowded trade is the alt bounce. Everyone's positioned for it because the funding reset looks clean and the liquidations look like capitulation. But capitulation from leveraged longs doesn't create a bid. It just clears the book for whoever wants to sell into strength next. I expect alts to keep bleeding against BTC. If BTC loses $78k on a daily close, the whole bounce thesis is dead and the alt drawdown gets ugly fast. Until then, I'd rather be flat alts than early.

$SNDK setup: price reclaimed and sits above the 50 and 100 EMAs, while the Stochastic crossed up from oversold at 13.7. ADX at 33 shows the trend has legs. Reference target 1249, invalidation 1235.

$AAVE: 2 long wallets, 4 short, and the long share slid 82% to 64% in 6h. That's shorts getting added (+$3.18M). One wallet holds 66% of the long side, so the net-long look is thinner than it reads. AAVE

This book moves while you're reading about it. The room's got the tracked Hyperliquid positioning live, and I credit it there. Pull up the profile and follow along as the shorts either press or fold.

The tracked book on $SOL is carrying a short, not debating one: 20 of 21 wallets short, 5.4% long versus 24% six hours back. Longs cut $13.1M while shorts barely moved ($251K). One short holds 43% of that side. The next leg gets decided by whether that holder defends or folds.

The room flagged this shift while it was still a number. It's in my bio if you want in before the story catches up.
