TURNOUT: We estimate that 27% of youth cast a ballot in 2022—the second-highest youth turnout we have seen in a midterm election. In battleground states, we estimate that turnout was even higher: 31%. This is an early, day-after estimate that may shift! circle.tufts.edu/latest-rese…

Young voter registration numbers in states such as; Michigan, Kansas, Nevada, Arizona, and Georgia are higher than in 2018, @circle data reveals. Researcher @Peterdeguz says it's largely due to campaigns and organizations, which are more prominent in battleground states.
TOMORROW: Join PFP for a panel discussion of our research paper on increasing Black voter turnout in #bospoli. We'll hear from paper author Steph Domond, @laurenjhharper @theWelcomePAC & @Peterdeguz @CivicYouth. us02web.zoom.us/webinar/regi…

In a battleground state where candidates win by the slimmest margins, experts say even a modest share of voters could swing the midterm election. And young people are a formidable force. My latest for @WPR
Young people make up about 16 percent of the state's electorate, according to an analysis by the Center for Information & Research on Civic Learning and Engagement. And they could make the election all the more competitive if they show up to the polls. wpr.org/get-out-vote-efforts…
