We are now at the stage where people don't even know how children look like, and make infantile plushies instead to avoid having to look at them as the people. Dehumanization.
During the “golden age of illustration,” children were depicted with anatomic accuracy that was faithful to the stage of life they were in, and in poses that were natural and believable for a child. Jesse Wilcox Smith, Elsa Beskow and Mary Cassat are examples of artists who did such work and they were able to do so because they not only observed children closely, but also loved them. However, modern illustrations of children feature joints that don’t articulate–elbows and knees don’t exist– and facial expressions that are emojis rather than anatomically correct changes that belie bone structure and fat distribution underneath. As a circle with a triangle under it depicts a woman on a bathroom stall, so modern illustrators depict children with large heads, goofy bean mouthed expressions and noodle arms and legs. In essence, children are no longer depicted as human beings but rather emoticons of human beings. And the reason for this is not merely due to changes in “artistic styles”, but rather the far more oily and avaricious greed of publishers, the sloth and incompetence of modern artists and most heinously, a modern disdain for children. - An excerpt from my latest essay, soon to be published.

Any idea what astra is about (not even using codex, so it's not harness injecting weirdness) > I'm thinking I have about 25k tokens originally, now 26 remaining, with a budget of 45 and plenty of time left, at 2700 seconds. It happens almost in every session...

Frontier models, perfect software engineering achieved. (I know it doesn't matter at all, but still, lol)

Also, it has nothing to do with antivax. Vax simply doesn't work to limit getting the ilness / only mildly or moderately helps with risk of LC (studies ~0-50 % reduction in likelyhood). And many folks with LC / other autoimmune diseases can't easily vax. (it's still weird view

but the reasons for it are way more complex (not necessarily better) than vax doesn't work; because frankly for what they want to prevent it simply doesn't)

Worth noting, no major disease has shown better hard outcomes from outlook or wanting to get better - Cancer - MS - Lupus - RA - Heart disease - HIV - ME/CFS Etc You can recover & credit your mindset. But you didn’t think your way out. That was natural recovery, luck, & placebo

dysautonomia is physiological but it is also neurological and psychological and so the treatment must also be all of those things! you have to want to get better!!!!

[PhoneLink][Windows] I want my local agent get (at least readonly) access to my phone messages via API/CLI so that it can download all of my labs reports (pin in message). Why don't all local apps have APIs / CLIs / expose webserver? Paramount in agent world :/.

I don't understand why we don't build everything as API first :/. It was good idea before agents, it's necessity now. (I even had internal memo about it few months ago, :/ (would've had larger impact on productivity than all of AI code factories))

Currently exploring if there are possibly some undocumented APIs and/or how horrible it would be to parse local caches but neither is great. Just have discoverable APIs. It doesn't matter they will break, AI can solve that as well (on integration's side).

. @ibuildthecloud weird Q: what makes agent runtime envs ball shaped? First AMP's orbs, now your's discobox... everything is round, everything is ball-y. How come?

I had microsoft managed (BYOD, not full domain joined) personal PC. I removed my msft account from it. Now it has orphenated defender policies which kinda brick the device (can't acces npm nor the msft-internal proxy). Supp the only way is to get IT to give me offboard package

Like what? Both Intune and defender are 1P products. How come removing work account doesn't clean up *both* cleanly. Why does it need per tenant specific offboard package? I could see it for more arcane stuff, but this is msit - it should be using off the shelf stuff.

@thdxr Hi, out of curiosity who was your contact in gh copilot for your auth system? I saw you're not impersonating vscode but instead seem to have almost official integration. I was thinking about contributing same for @pidotdev but wonder who on GHC side you talk to :).

cc I was that it was you @rekram11 who did the commits, willing to comment on who you talked to on copilot team?

Or maybe @_Evan_Boyle (I don't want in any official capacity, just want to make pi with copilot better :) ).

Hi, the eye tracking data for LC/MECFS/etc you're doing, have you evaluated using off the shelf hw with gaze estimation using standard camera and bit of vision ML? I wonder how replicatable this would be :). @ImmunoFever
